Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 10, 2020 | LENDING UNTO THE LORD AND ITS FOLLOW-UP CONSEQUENCE. God is ever Faithful to give back and recompense to those who lend or give to him like he did for Hannah and Elkanah – 1 Samuel 2:20-21

And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the Lord. And they went unto their own home. And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord. – 1 Samuel 2:20-21

Beloved, my heart rejoice with you in particular, because you are one of the few believers who determinedly added biblical wisdom to your profession of faith.

God shall reward you here and hereafter with abundance of His ceaseless mercies by the reason of your decision to walk with Him, wisely in Jesus name.

Because of this, I want you to take cognisance of this unchanging word of God repleted in both old and new testaments.

IT HAS TO DO WITH GOD’S DETERMINED RESOLVE TO RECOMPENSE HERE AND HEREAFTER, EVERY ONE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE CHURCH, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS.

Proverbs 24:12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

Jeremiah 25:14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

1 Samuel 2:30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

2Co 11:13 — 2Co 11:15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2Ti 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

Rev 2:20 — Rev 2:23 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Beloved, the reason why majority of people professing religion, the nominal churchgoers globally and the worldlings outside the church are nonchalant about this all important admonition is because, whenever they rebelled against any revealed word of God, nothing happens.

Ecc 8:11 — Ecc 8:13 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

However, sooner than their expectations, here and hereafter, God shall recompense them according to the works of their hands.

Ecc 12:13 — Ecc 12:14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

I am persuaded about you that, you are not cut up in this shameful and punishable web.

Just in case you are, repent immediately, to avoid God’s righteous Judgement.

Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

But then, because you are like Hannah, full of good deeds, I want to encourage you to continue. This is because, you shall be adequately rewarded here and hereafter in Jesus name.

See how God rewarded Hannah for her noble deeds.. Abraham also received sworn blessings, for his prompt and willingness to offer Isaac, as God instructed. Such shall be your portion too , as you commit yourself to doing same till Christ comes.

Hannah.

Abraham.

Gen 22:15 — Gen 22:18 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Beloved see how the scriptures severally affirms rewards of Christlike benevolent lifestyle, like Hannah and Abraham.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Gal 6:7 — Gal 6:10 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

2Co 9:6 — 2Co 9:7 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Pro 11:24 — Pro 11:25 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Mal 3:8 — Mal 3:12 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

Pro 3:9 — Pro 3:10 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Surprisingly, beloved , do you know that God demonstrated same benevolence to have additional sons to Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. See it yourself.

Heb 2:9 — Heb 2:10 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

God sacrificed our Lord to have you as a son. So like Father like son. Begin to manifest same benevolence , till Christ comes and be rewarded here and hereafter in Jesus name.
