Spiritual Power and Stability is at the grasp of every Child of God. But not all of them has come into that experience because of the Sacrifice attached. Fasting and Praying is a Great tool that brings a man into ATOMIC POWER with God.
Joel 1:14. Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord,
Beloved, this year and beyond victory and conquests shall be yours in Jesus name. No doubt God has brought you to the new year, to do great things for you, but then, the world and the prince of this world and his cohorts are still cruel, wicked and unchanging.
The prince of the world.
John 14:30. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Cruelty and wickedness in this present world.
Psalms 74:20. Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
1 John 5:19. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
The unchanging devil and his cohorts .
Jeremiah 13:23. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
The devil and his cohorts are still going about perpetrating their wickedness without relenting, especially now, when they knows their time is almost up.
Revelation 12:12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
In order to achieve the greatness God have for you this year and beyond, you must regularly engage the weapon of fastings to checkmate the devil from stealing, killing or destroying your blessings and desired breakthroughs. You shall be more than conquerors in Jesus name, as you engage this weapon in Jesus name.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
This same weapon was what Joel the prophet encouraged the Israelites to use when they were confronted with difficulties in his days. See it.

Joel 2:15-16. Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Many saints in Bible days engaged the usage of this weapon of warfare in their time and accomplished desired breakthroughs and results. See some of them.
1. Moses:
Exodus 34:27-28. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
2. Elijah:
1 Kings 19:7-8. And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
3. King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah
2 Chronicles 20:3-4. And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
4. Ezra and his people
Ezra 8:21-23. Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him. So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
5. Nehemiah :
Nehemiah 1:4-5. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
6. Queen Esther
Esther 4:15-16. Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
7. Daniel
Daniel 9:3-4. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
Daniel 10:2-3. In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
Your victory and conquest this year and beyond shall be guaranteed, as you regularly use this weapon of fastings to strengthen yourself. It is well with you in Jesus name.
Just as our Lord revealed the unrelenting wickedness of satan in one of the parables, so it was then and so it is now, till the end shall come. Satan and his cohorts are regularly sowing tares into the fields of peoples’ lives, marriages and destinies etc.
Matthew 13:27-28. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Matthew 13:37-39. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Our Lord had victory during His earthly ministry by engaging the weapon of regular fastings against the devil.
Matthew 4:1-2. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
Jesus through His lifestyle and teachings, encouraged believers of all ages, including you to fast.
Matthew 6:16-17. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
This weapon of fasting shall empower you to subdue the devil’s relentless onslaughts.
Mark 9:28-29. And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
The believers in Bible days used this weapon regularly and had desired victory over the devil and his cohorts. See some of them.
Anna.
Luke 2:36-37. And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
Believers at Antioch .
Acts 13:1-2. Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Paul and his team.
Acts 14:22-23. Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
2 Corinthians 6:5. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
2 Corinthians 11:27. In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
You too shall be more than conquerors like the believers in Bible days, engage this mighty weapon regularly.
JESUS COUNSELED BELIEVERS OF ALL AGES AND YOU IN PARTICULAR, TO USE THE WEAPON OF REGULAR FASTING,, TO OVERCOME THE ONSLAUGHT OF THE DEVIL.
No doubt you are aware that, your desire to be part of the dawning rapture shall be fiercely contested by the devil.
Revelation 2:10. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
THE ONE THING THAT SHALL HELP YOU SUBDUE SATAN AND HIS AGENTS IS REGULAR FASTING AND PRAYER.
Acts 13:3. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
But then, many in Bible days engaged in fasting and prayer and God did not answer them. Surprisingly, as disobedient as the Worldling and carefree believers are, they too, engage fasting and prayer, but
God never noticed them. This will make it easier for the devil to afflict them and hinder their eternal wellbeing. This shall never be your portion in Jesus name.,
Isaiah 58:3-5. Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord?
Even when believers have sinned against God, He will not answer their prayer and fasting as He did to adulterous king David. Please be cautioned too.
2 Samuel 12:15-19. And Nathan departed unto his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them. And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
The impudent Pharisees in Bible days fasted but not noticed, so also religious people or nominal churchgoers of today.
Luke 18:11-14. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
But then, great victories shall be yours here and hereafter as you engaged the weapon of fasting and prayer. God showed mercies to the people of Nineveh, so shall He do to you on the day of rapture in Jesus name.
Isaiah 58:6-11. Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Jonah 3:5-10. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
