The Power of Expectation | What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time – Nahum 1:9

If you will be all that God wants you to be in life, you must not just believe God, you must begin to consciously be in expectation of His promises. There is a supernatural POWER that draws whatever you are expecting towards you

Beloved, do not ever forget this. God your loving Father is a man of war. He is the undeniable Lord of hosts.

Exodus 15:3. The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

Psalms 46:7-11. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

God your loving Father assumed this position, because the lives of His saints from the time immemorial were characterised with troubles and afflictions.

Exodus 3:7-10. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Beloved, anytime God is set to deliver His people, He always made a glorious utter end. Pause a little here. Is your life characterised by inexplainable challenges? And you are wondering, whether an end shall come to these recurrent difficulties facing your one life? Relax, there is an end and God is sure to make an utter end of your troubles and they shall never rise up again. It is true that weeping might endure for some time, but joy will surely come. Believe it. Your joy has come. It shall be so in Jesus name.

Proverbs 23:18. For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Psalms 30:5. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Anytime God rose up to fight and bring an end to the travails of His people, He is unstoppable, because He has invincible power.

Exodus 14:13-14. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

This message of comfort was what God gave prophet Nahum to give His people in his days, thinking their captivities and travails shall not end. God sent to assured them, that He would surely bring an utter end to their problems and they will never ever happened again. THIS SAME MESSAGE WAS SENT TO HIS SAINTS OF ALL AGES AND THAT INCLUDES YOU. Do not be perturbed. This long time challenges shall surely end. Certainly it is coming shortly. Hallelujah.

Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time

The Bible is repleted with stories of saints who were sorely troubled. But then, once the Lord rose up to their challenges, He brought them to permanent end. They were inexhaustible. Yours shall soon join them too in Jesus name. See some of them.
1. Sarah’s twenty five years shameful and painful barrenness.

Genesis 21:1-2. And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Genesis 21:7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

2. Joseph’s travails from the pit to prison and then to the glorious palace as prime minister.

Genesis 41:51-52. And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

The Children of Israel’s four hundred and thirty years servitude.

Exodus 12:40-41. Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

Exodus 12:51. And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

Hannah’s unending tears, been provoked by her rival, came to end, with six children.

1 Samuel 1:5-7. But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the Lord had shut up her womb. And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb. And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.

1 Samuel 1:27 For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

1 Samuel 2:20-21 And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the Lord. And they went unto their own home. And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.

The Jews came out of Babylon by the decree of Cyprus. The captivity ended.

Psalms 126:1-3. When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion,we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Ezra 1:1-3. Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

Elizabeth glorious rejoice after shameful reproach of barrenness.

Luke 1:24-25. And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

Luke 1:57-58. Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

Beloved, the Lord remains the same and never changed. If He had brought utter end to the challenges of all these saints of old. Since you are one of the saints, yours too shall surely come and it is coming shortly in Jesus name.

Malachi 3:6. For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ your Lord has so many glorious titles. He is our Saviour, Redeemer, Good Shepherd etc. But then, He also is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the most senior general of the armies of the Lord. He is referred to as either captain of the hosts of the Lord or captain of their salvation.

Joshua 5:13-14. And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?

Hebrews 2:9-10. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

He assumed this exalted position to subdue satan the archenemy of believers of all ages. This wicked enemy of saints and his fiends are tirelessly troubling the lives of believers of all ages and that includes you.

John 10:10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Revelation 12:17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Remember, don’t be dejected, Jesus is aware of your divers travails because of your allegiance to Him and He is determined to make an utter end of your troubles, for you in particular to have everlasting joy. You shall surely have it in Jesus name.

John 16:20-22. Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

See how the scriptures describe the lifestyle of faithful believers and thank God, you are one,

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

2 Corinthians 7:5-6. For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

One way of assuaging the continual incessant travails of believers and you are included, by the Lord is to send them, messages of comfort. One of such is the message about the dawning rapture.

John 14:1-3. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

These messages are to assure them, that their travails have an end, just like the travails of Jesus, Himself had an end. So do not be cast down, these challenges shall surely come to an end very very soon in Jesus name.

Luke 22:37. For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

You are mindful of the shameful and painful Friday crucifixion of our Lord. But that was not the end of the story. You must also remember the glorious resurrection on Sunday morning. The challenges had an utter end and never rose up again, the second time.

Matthew 28:5-7 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Acts 2:22-27. Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 13:28-35. And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

But God raised him from the dead: And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Dearly beloved, see the challenges faced by believers in the Bible days. They experienced an utter end and the problems never ever reoccurred again. This shall be your own experience too in Jesus name. So wait for your glorious deliverance by your captain of your salvation and Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Hebrews 10:35-39. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

1. The early church delivered from fierce persecutor :

Acts 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

Galatians 1:21-24. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me.

JESUS ASSURED AND COMFORTED BELIEVERS OF ALL AGES AND YOU IN PARTICULAR, OF A SURE GLORIOUS UTTER END TO THEIR TRAVAILS. WAIT FOR IT
Friend, do you know why the message of the dawning rapture is very very important? It is to comfort and reassure faithful believers like you of a glorious utter end of lifetime tireless travails

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 19:6-9. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

While believers globally like you shall have eternal rest at the end of time, the Worldling and nominal churchgoers shall have eternal, unending restlessness. This shall never be your portion in Jesus name. So please don’t be like them.

Revelation 14:13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

See how the scriptures describe their eternal restlessness, because they despised God and reject His plan of redemption to give them eternal rest.

Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

Luke 16:19-25.There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Revelation 14:10-11 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

But on the contrary, even though now there are painful challenges confronting them. They shall experience glorious utter end, immediately after the rapture. It shall not elude you in Jesus name.

Revelation 2:10. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 3:10-11. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 7:9-17 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelation 21:1-5. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Friend, weeping in deed might endure for a night or some time. Certainly unending eternal joy is awaiting you, when the Lord shall have made an utter end. Then forever and ever afflictions and troubles shall never ever rise up the second time. This shall be your experience in Jesus name. So keep on enduring. Never be tired.

Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
