The Holy Spirit as our Guide and Teacher means that He will attempt to communicate to all of us from time to time. But it is in our choice to listen or disregard. When we listen we have LIFE, when we disregard we suffer the consequence.
Amos 8:11-12. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
Beloved, always remember this. It gives God your loving Father in heaven so much pleasure to provide profitable guidance for His children of all ages. Praise God, that includes you, please take advantage of it.
Psalms 32:8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Isaiah 30:20-21. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Isaiah 48:17-18. Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
See an instance of how He helped prophet Samuel from making costly mistake.
1 Samuel 16:6-7. And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him. But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
Beloved, God is grieved, when His profitable guidance is wilfully turned down and rejected by His children. Please do not fall a victim of this untoward attitude.
Jeremiah 6:16. Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 7:23-24. But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
Painfully, however, is the suffering of children of God, that turned down His guidance. They usually experienced shameful famine of His timely guidance, through which they could avert avoidable disasters.
At this particular, time God shall be silence, He would denied them of desirable guidance, they sorely seek after. This shall not be your portion.
THIS WAS THE CONSEQUENCE OF THE WILFUL DISOBEDIENCE OF THE JEWS IN THE DAYS OF AMOS. HE SENT THEM FAMINE OF HIS WORDS, THAT COULD HAVE OFFERED THEM SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE, IN THEIR DIFFICULTIES.
Beloved, always remember this and never ever forget it. Painful Avondale punishment awaits everyone and anyone who rejects God’s warnings, meant for their guidance. See the Jews at this time, flagrantly rejected God’s warning through Amos the prophet.
Amos 7:12-13. Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
What then followed after this was the withdrawal of His teachings that were no more available for their guidance.
Another prominent person that suffered withdrawal of God’s guidance was King Saul. He wilfully rejected God’s warnings, so there was no guidance provided him from the Lord, till his death, even when he had major crisis.
Please learn a great lesson from the misfortune of this king. He wanted to hear from God desperately, but he experienced famine of His guidance . See it.
1 Samuel 28:6 And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
Same goes for the Jews in the time past, they wilfully rejected the warnings of the prophets rising earlier to guide them. So in vain did they lounged for God’s signs and guidance in trouble.
Psalms 74:9-11. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.
Lamentations 2:9. Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the Lord.
Ezekiel 7:26. Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
Micah 3:7. Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
Beloved, do you see in the days of Prophet Jeremiah, Ezekiel , Micah etc the Jews in trouble sought the mind and guidance of God, going to and fro, but met with failure, because they sorely experienced famine of God’s guidance.
This shall not be your portion today. Then, please don’t follow their pitiful and regrettable wilful pathway. If is well with you in Jesus name.
Dearly beloved, believers of all ages and you in particular are peculiar people to Jesus Christ, who redeemed them through His blood.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Because of this, before His glorious ascension, He promised them another Comforter just like Him, in the person of the blessed Holy Spirit, who shall provide them with divers beneficial and profitable ministries, meant as children’s bread for only believers alone.
The Worldling are excluded completely from this gracious benefits. See some of them and see how precious you are to Jesus Christ, our Lord.
John 14:16-17. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
1 John 2:27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
However, He warned them, never ever to grieve Him, to avoid withdrawal of these gracious ministries of His.
See divers, enviable guidances of the blessed Holy Spirit, to Bible days believers, as promised by Jesus before , His glorious ascension. The good news is, that you are also entitle for all of these benefits, so reach out to Him and begin to enjoy them, till Jesus comes.
1.Acts 13:1-4. Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
2. Acts 11:1-18 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him, Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying, I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven. And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house: And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
3. Acts 15:6-29. And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying,
Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
4. Acts 16:6-10. Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia:
but the Spirit suffered them not. And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying,
Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
JESUS CAUTIONS BELIEVERS OF ALL AGES AND YOU IN PARTICULAR, NOT TO GRIEVE THE BLESSED HOLY SPIRIT, BY REJECTING HIS GUIDANCE MINISTRY
Friend, believers like you that shall partake in the dawning rapture have. so much to do with the timely guidance of the blessed Holy Spirit. In fact, He shall be returning to heaven, since His arrival at Pentecost with the raptured saints. By His grace, you shall be part in Jesus name.
2 Thessalonians 2:5-7. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
How
the blessed Holy Spirit provided timely guidance to. believers like you to prepare them, for the rapture as wise Virgins. Please don’t trivialise these all important guidances . You become wise as you commit yourself to be guided by them. Receive grace to do so in Jesus name.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-10. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Luke 21:34-35 ¶And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Romans 13:11-14. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Regrettably however, instead of the blessed Holy Spirit to guide the Worldling and nominal churchgoers, He fights them, because they vexed and resisted Him, through their wilful disobedience. See how they do it and ensure you are not doing same. I am persuaded of you , that you are not. Just check up and never ever be presumptuous.
Isaiah 63:10. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
Acts 7:51-53. Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
In addition, instead of heeding the warnings of the
blessed Holy Spirit, they give heed to seducing and devious spirits.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
These shall be their undoing and hindered them from partaking in the dawning rapture. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name. So do everything to avoid trivialising or despising the guidance of the blessed Holy Spirit as cautioned by our Lord Jesus Christ.
