Many times we feel an urgent need for help. Sometimes we find ourselves circumstances that needs an urgent action. At such times, it is comforting to turn to Jehovah, because He is the only one who can strengthen us to endure and guide us to make good decisions.
Habakkuk 2:1-2. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Beloved always remember this, it is a great privilege to be a saint and a child to God, your loving Father in heaven. He never allowed His saints and children to grope in darkness and make costly mistakes in their lives.
A lot of people all over the world inside and outside the church have made costly mistakes in life as to the choice of life partners, career, investments, locations to seek greener pastures, etc. Many have died untimely because of wrong decisions they have made about something in their lives.
You must take advantage of this great privilege of being a child of God. Never ever take any step again in life without recourse to God, especially when choosing life partners, careers and traveling to foreign lands, seeking greener pastures. See what saints and children of God enjoy from Him. Precious guidance that helps them to avoid making costly mistakes.
Psalms 32:8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Isaiah 48:17-18. Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Beloved, God said He will guide the blind. Every human beings without guidance from God are really very blind.
Isaiah 42:16. And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
Is it not an irony, that those that are really very blind are saints and children of God, who think they can manage their lives without God’s guidance.
Isaiah 42:19. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant?
See, Samuel the prophet of God would have made a great blunder, when he was told to go and appoint a king for Israel, were it not for swift correction from God. If Samuel made a great blunder, how about you?
Always remember to seek guidance henceforth, before making any major decision in your life. It might lead even to untimely death. The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.
1 Samuel 16:6-7. And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
Beloved, to avoid this costly mistakes in life, God inspired and reprove Habakkuk the prophet himself and also to be used as guidance for children of God of all ages. Praise God, you are one. Please learn this very very important lesson.
Habakkuk 2:1-2. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
See saints in Bible days that sought for guidance in trouble and see how cheaply they were guided by a loving Father.
Moses:
Exodus 15:22-26. So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them.
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians:
for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
David:
1 Samuel 23:2-5 Therefore David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.
And David’s men said unto him, Behold, we be afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? Then David enquired of the Lord yet again.
And the Lord answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
See saints in Bible days, that didnt seek for guidance and got into avoidable troubles in life.
Abraham looked for a foreign country to seek greener pastures and got into real trouble. Thank God, He rescued him later, but it could have been avoided, if He sought guidance.
Genesis 12:10-15. And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:
Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.
Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.
The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house.
Joshua did not seek counsel from God and made Israel to loose one of their promised land of inheritance forever. Learn from these saints and avoid the costly avoidable mistakes they made.
Joshua 9:3-18 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai, They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy.
And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.
And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you? And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants.
And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye? And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the Lord thy God:
for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt, And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.
Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:
And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord. And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.
And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim.
And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.
All these things were written in the Bible to guide saints and believers like you. Be guided and you shall avoid costly mistakes in life in Jesus name.
Romans 15:4. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Dearly beloved, Jesus your Lord lived a life devoid of mistakes during His earthly ministry. This same lifestyle is possible to every believer of all ages and you in particular, if you will choose the humble pathway Jesus followed.
All through the earthly ministry of our Lord, He never proved to know more than His Father in heaven. He always sought, what to do from Him. Pause a little here.
Do you always seek what to do from God?
Did you seek Him, before you married your spouse?
Did you seek God before you choose your career?
Did you seek Him, before you traveled to that foreign land for greener pasture, like Abraham did?
Your response to most of these questions might be no. See some challenges in your life now, because of your decisions.
So, to avoid repetition in the future, humble yourself like Jesus and always seek guidance from God.
John 8:28. Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
John 5:19: Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:30: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 12:49 – 50. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
If you ever think, our Lord Jesus, always knew what to do in every situation, see these instances. 1. He was asked a question that was to be a snare to Him, by His foremost human adversaries in His earthly ministry, see how, He handled the situation. He stooped down for the guidance of the blessed Holy Spirit, before He responded.
John 8:1-10. Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.
But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
At another time, Jesus stayed back two days to hear from His Father, how to address the challenge facing Lazarus.
John 11:1-7. Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. ( It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
See also how the Bible days believers depended heavily on the guidance of the blessed Holy Spirit. This is what you too must be doing henceforth to enable you receive proper guidance from God, as He promised.
Paul :
Acts 16:6-10. Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
Peter:
Acts 10:9-20 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Wherein were all manner of four footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven. Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate, And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Dearly beloved, one major function of the blessed Holy Spirit is to provide you guidance, seek Him and anointed ministers who know the mind of God through and through. The good Lord shall help you to make right decisions henceforth in Jesus name.
John 16:13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
JESUS’S. EXEMPLARY LIFESTYLE OF SEEKING GUIDANCE FROM HIS FATHER, DURING HIS EARTHLY MINISTRY. EMULATE HIM
Friend, your earnest desire to part of the dawning rapture shall be granted in Jesus name. You are quite aware that, this gracious decision shall be fiercely contested by satan and his fiends.
All it will cost you to upturn his deceptive wiles, is total dependence on the blessed Holy Spirit for guidance. See promises you have from God on this.
Matthew 28:20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Hebrews 13:5. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
But then, this is available only for faithful believers like you globally. The Worldling and nominal churchgoers shall be deprived of this forever from God. See it yourself.
Matthew 7:6. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Matthew 15:26. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
1 Samuel 14:37. And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.
See what their attitude are, why God will deny them such privileges.
1. They seek guidance from satan and his false prophets.
Isaiah 8:19. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
1 Chronicles 10:13-14. So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
And enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
2. They always relied on arms of flesh for everything in their lives, so they are cursed.
Jeremiah 17:5-6. Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
3. Even when God is magnanimous to them, to guide them, they declined the guidance.
Jeremiah 6:16. Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 7:23-24. But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
On the contrary, believes like you are always humble to hear from the blessed Holy Spirit, and even when you are reproved, you rejoice in His gracious guidance.
Habakkuk 2:1-2. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
John 16:13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Isaiah 30:20-21. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Psalms 25:9. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psalms 25:12. What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
Proverbs 3:32. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
See an instance of this humble king, saved himself listening to Elisha the prophet, who he regarded as father. You too can seek guidance from godly humble and holy ministers of God, who are focused on both your earthly and eternal wellbeing.
2 Kings 6:8-12 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
This way every snare Satan intend to put on your way to hinder you from partaking in the dawning rapture shall be frustrated and truncated.
