Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | January 12, 2019 | Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself [ your destruction is near ]; but in me [ God ] is thine help [ I am your help ] – Hosea 13:9.
Beloved, it is no secret, men, dynasties, developed nations etc, no matter what they claimed they are can not help anyone, if God failed to help such a person.
Resources of all kinds and influences shall fail anyone and everyone at all times, who chose not to seek the help of God.
The good news, is God, very loving and gracious a Father is always available to provide timely help for His own people, who looked for His help alone.
Recount the timely Help, Moses and the children of Israel received, before the Red Sea when the blood thirsty Pharaoh and his armies were coming after them.
How else are you going to describe the timely appearance of the unchanging Son of the living God, who showed up, before the three Hebrews got to the exceeding hot furnace king Nebuckadnezer prepared to destroy them.
How can you explain the uncommon preservation of Daniel in the den of the Lions. Beloved, the singular reason why you are alive and healthy today is the fact that God severally had provided you, unmerited timely help.
Always remember this and be thankful. You contributed nothing to your being alive. It did not just happened, God orchestrated it, so be mindful and be thankful .
Psalms 103:1-2. Bless the Lord, O my soul:and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Those that are late and dead, failed to receive such help, that was why their archenemy the devil ravaged and destroyed them.
Remember, you were not more righteous or better than them. God took the initiative to help you as He always have being doing since the outset of creation. This is unfailing help shall always be there for you all your days in Jesus name.
Genesis 2:18. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
No wonder, Samuel a renowned prophet showed His gratitude to God for himself and Israel for God’s ceaseless and unmerited help they received.
1 Samuel 7:12. Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.
Never ever forget this. Except God showed up to help a man, such a person is doomed. But praise God, He is always willing to help and He will provide you timely help at all times, especially now for you to overcome this seemingly intimidating challenge.
2 Kings 6:26-27. And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. And he said, If the Lord do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?
See numerous promised help of the Lord.
Isaiah 41:13-14 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 44:2 Thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
Can you recount how many in the time past and perhaps you too, have been abysmally disappointed, when you earnestly sought the help of men, the arms of flesh.
Isaiah 31:1. Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
Isaiah 31:3. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
This was the unfortunate experience of. the Israelites in the days of Hosea, who deliberately and stubbornly turned their back to the help of God, seeking help from the arms of flesh and idols and were ruined. You shall not be ruined in Jesus name, so seek the help of God alone. See it.
Hosea 13:9. O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
BELOVED, HELP OF GOD SHALL ALWAYS BE READILY AVAILABLE AND TIMELY PROVIDED FOR YOU HENCEFORTH, AS ALL THESE SAINTS IN BIBLE DAYS RECEIVED, IF YOU WILL DETERMINEDLY, SEEK HIM ALONE FOR IT.
It shall be so for you in Jesus name.
1. Moses and Israel
Deuteronomy 33:7. And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
Deuteronomy 33:26-27. There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
Deuteronomy 33:29. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
2. King Jehoshaphat
2 Chronicles 20:1-4. It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; Behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
3. King Asa.
2 Chronicles 14:11. And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
4. King Uzziah.
2 Chronicles 26:14-15 And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, and spears, and helmets, and habergeons, and bows, and slings to cast stones. And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
5. King Hezekiah.
2 Chronicles 32:7-8. Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
See His unfailing promises that shall avail for you as you seek for His help alone wholeheartedly.
Psalms 33:20: Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he isour help and our shield.
Psalms 46:1: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalms 115:9-11 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
Psalms 121:1-2. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Psalms 124:8. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Psalms 146:5: Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
It is done in Jesus name.
Have you ever thought about this. Our Lord Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry ended up thriumphantly , simply because God, His Father and your own Father, promised to help Him and actually helped Him.
Isaiah 50:7-9. For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. Behold, the Lord God will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
No wonder our Lord promised believers of all ages and that includes you, to boldly come to Him for promised help, anytime they need it. Please take advantage of this promise, henceforth .
Hebrews 4:16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Remember this always, Jesus alone is the sure succour, you can always revert to for timely help anytime you need it. See this was what believers in Bible days did.
Matthew 15:25. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mark 9:22-25. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
WHENEVER THIS IS DONE, THERE WAS NO REGRET, THEY ALWAYS RECEIVED HELP. This shall be your own experience too , from now on in Jesus name .
Paul.
Acts 26:19-23. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
The church in Jerusalem for Peter.
Acts 12:4-11 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. When Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. Behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. The angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. So he did. Also he said unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. He went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

1 Samuel 2:9. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
It is true that your mind is set to be part of the dawning rapture, but then, if left to your own preparation alone without the help of the Lord, you can not make it. 2 Timothy 4:18. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The undoing of the Worldling and carefree believers is there dependency on the arms of flesh at all times. They saw no need to look for help from above.
sick, they depend on their doctors.
When they have a case , they depend on their lawyers.
financial help, they looked up to wealthy people they know.
THIS INADVERTENTLY, HAVE BROUGHT THEM UNDER THE CURSE OF GOD, AND CAN NEVER PARTAKE IN THE RAPTURE. But you shall partake in Jesus name.
Jeremiah 17:5-6. Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited
Isaiah 30:1-3 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
Jeremiah 37:5-8. Then Pharaoh’s army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem. Then came the word of the Lord unto the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land. And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.

Psalms 46:1-5. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
Psalms 123:1-2. Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
