Christ when He was on earth sought only the happiness of mankind disinterestedly, in the sense that He valued our well-being, that He really loved it and enjoyed the efforts He made to promote it. He was truly and honestly benevolent. It was because He loved the happiness of men that He labored to promote it. How much more, now that he is sited at the right hand of God, He desires so much our well-being, Just reach out to Him.
Nahum 1:7. The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Beloved, if there is anything you must know and be assured of. It is the unchanging fact that God is good. From eternity past to eternity future, He is very very good.
Psalms 73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
See how the Bible describes the goodness of God.
1. In the things He did in creation.
Genesis 1:31. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
2. In showing what is good to His children of all ages. Praise God, you are one, so expect yours too.
Micah 6:8. He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
3. He always encourage His children of all generations to hate evil and wicked practices that can separate them from Him. No doubt you are one of them, so hate evil and avoid wickedness.
Amos 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
4. He magnanimously paid a great price to provide biblical salvation for His children. Make sure you have personally received biblical and genuine salvation, He freely provided.
1 Timothy 2:3-4. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5. Remember never ever forget, every good things comes from Him.
James 1:17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
6. He gives good things to those that ask Him.. So reach out to Him and not man, for every good things you desire in life at all times.
Matthew 7:11. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Beloved, no doubt God is good, He never ever withhold or withdraw good things from His children. Praise God, you are one of them. Every good thing God has given you shall be permanent in Jesus name.
Psalms 84:11. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
No marvel God gave this all important prophecy to Nahum, to proclaim His unchanging fathomless goodness and providence to humanity. Always remember God is very very good.
Nahum 1:7. The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
See how the scriptures affirmed it severally that God in deed is good . Very very good.
1 Chronicles 16:34: O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
Ezra 3:11: And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Psalms 25:8: Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
Psalms 100:5: For the LORD is good; his mercy iseverlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalms 136:1: O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 145:9: The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
Jeremiah 33:11: The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
Lamentations 3:25: The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
Luke 18:19. And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
But then avoid the costly, painful and regrettable mistakes many in the time past and even now are making. They are taking God for granted because of His goodness and paying dearly for it. P,ease avoid it.
Romans 11:22: Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in hisgoodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
So fear God enough for His goodness, because He will judge every good and bad work done by everyone at the end of time.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour is reputed undeniable to be very very good and committed to be doing good to all and sundry, most especially the believers of all ages . Glory to God, it includes you,
Acts 10:38. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
See some of the good works , He has been doing and shall continue to be doing.
Isaiah 61:1-3. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
Mark 10:46-52. And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Luke 6:6-10 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Ephesians 1:5-6. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Ephesians 2:10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
Hebrews 13:20-21. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
But, then following Jesus faithfully, some times might expose you to some unavoidable challenges. But then, from experience of believers of all ages and yours shall not be an exception, it is always for their good and it will be to your own good too in Jesus name.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
So whatever challenges you are presently going through, endure it. It is temporal. Be assured that, Jesus through His good works shall deliver you.
2 Timothy 2:3-4. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
1 Corinthians 15:57. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 8:36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
In addition, Jesus Christ your Lord is full of knowledge, He always acknowledge and rewards every good works done to Him or on His behalf. You too must determinedly henceforth be committed to be doing good to Him and on His behalf. See some instances .
Matthew 26:10-13. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Matthew 10:42. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
1 Corinthians 15:58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Hebrews 6:10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Revelation 22:12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
JESUS CHRIST IS VERY GOOD. HE IS COMMITTED TO DOING GOOD CEASELESSLY TO ALL, ESPECIALLY BELIEVERS OF ALL AGES. REACH OUT TO HIM NOW, FOR YOURS.
Friend, the dawning rapture is exclusively for those that are committed wholeheartedly like Jesus , to be doing good. It then behooves you and expedient for you to be doing same, till Christ comes , because of your earnest desire to be part of this looming event. It shall not elude you in Jesus name.
3 John 1:11. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
One way of biblically doing this , is to be obedient to the entirety of scriptures, that can perfect you.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Very, very unfortunately, the Worldling and nominal churchgoers: are averse to doing good as contained and described in the scriptures. See how the Bible affirms their impudent behaviour and attitude. Please examine yourself and be sure you are not cut in these webs.
1. No good work, but reprobate :
Titus 1:16. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
2. Hath the world good and stingy
1 John 3:17. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
3. Have tasted God’s good word and backslide
Hebrews 6:5-6. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
4. Rejects the costly salvation provided by God to safe them.
John 3:16-20. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But faithful believers like you are very different. This is because they have delight in doing good works, commanded by the Lord. I am persuaded of you that, you fall into the category of these cloud of witnesses. The good Lord shall keep you there, till He comes in Jesus name. See some of the good works, even though, they are inexhaustible.
1.They proof what is good and acceptable and do them.
Romans 12:1-2. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2. They are full of Good works revealed in the Bible.
Titus 3:8. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Colossians 1:10. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Hebrews 13:16. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
1 Peter 2:12. Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
3. They have and sustain good conscience:
1 Peter 3:21. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Acts 23:1. And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
Titus 2:10. Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
4. They are good stewards.
1 Peter 4:10. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
The grace of God is available abundantly for you to do all these and He will surely help you in Jesus name.
