Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 1, 2018. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – … saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness… – Ezekiel 33:30-32
Beloved, to God be the glory for bringing us to this new month of December. May His holy name be praised forever. But then, as Moses counselled, it is for us to apply our hearts to wisdom, because the end time is here with us.
Psalms 90:12. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
You must be determined with a definite resolve much more than before to cultivate and sustain a closer walk with God. Walking with God will immensely profit you here and hereafter, if you are in agreement with Him.
Amos 3:3. Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
The only way to walk with Him in agreement is to be obedient to Him wholeheartedly.
Every saints of old that have done this have never regretted and as you to continue to so, you shall not regret in Jesus name.
Job 36:11. If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Isaiah 1:19. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: See the enviable blessings Abraham received, obeying God.
Genesis 22:15-18. And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Apart from this obeying God keeps you safe from earthly and eternal evil.
Proverbs 1:33. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
Very unfortunately, the Jews in the days of Ezekiel lost this desirous blessings through hypocrisy. If there is something you in particular should avoid in life, it is hypocrisy.
The end result is eternal damnation . You shall not be damned in Jesus name.
Isaiah 33:14. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
See the shameful degrading attitude of the people.
Ezekiel 33:30-32. Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
This same attitude was seen in the lives of others, let it never ever be seeing in your life.
Exodus 5:2: And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
Job 21:14 – 15. Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
Jeremiah 6:16: Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 7:23-24. But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
Jeremiah 44:16-17. As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
Pause a little and examine yourself, are you too, treading this pathway?
Your answer should be affirmative no. But should it be yes.
See what you must do, determinedly henceforth.
Job 34:32. That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
Exodus 24:7. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.
For you there must be so much joy to have Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
But unfortunately, majority of the so called believers globally accepted Jesus as their Saviour, but reject Him as Lord. It is important that you ensure that you in particular have a clean slate on this untoward behaviour. See what Jesus said.
Luke 6:46. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 19:14: But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
Painful and shameful enough, these so called believers justify their actions.
Luke 16:15. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. All that, they do is vain worship according to prophet Isaiah.
Matthew 15:7-9. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
You can differentiate yourself and be wise as Jesus commanded. Do not be unwise, because of its consequence.
Matthew 7:24-27. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Luke 8:21: And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Luke 11:28: But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
The blessed Holy Spirit said , you should be doer of the word.
James 1:22-24. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
JESUS’ MOST IMPORTANT COMMAND TO BELIEVERS OF AGES, ESPECIALLY YOU, TO TREAD THE PATHWAY OF OBEDIENCE TO BE WISE.
Friend, day after day, we are getting closer to the dawning rapture. Certainly some people inside and outside of the church shall not be part of this glorious event. Those that render outright disobedience and those that render partial obedience to God.
I am persuaded of you that, you do not belong to any of these categories of people.
1 Samuel 15:22-23. And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
John 12:46-48. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
But then you must continually validate your preparedness to partake in this event, through wholehearted obedience to God as commanded by Jesus.
Revelation 3:10-11. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
2 Timothy 4:7-8. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Till Christ comes you must obey, contend and defend God’s word with your life. Receive grace to do so in Jesus name.
Jude 1:3. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Philippians 1:17. But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
