Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. – Revelation 3:1-4

Beloved, today’s professors of religion and nominal churchgoers live in presumption and have a misconception of what living Christianity is all about. Praise God you don’t fall into the categories of these pitiable people.

You need to take advantage of your understanding and guide against falling into their pitiable estate and damnable circumstances.

The enviable saints of God in Bible days were those that feared the Lord. See some of them.

Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Mal 3:16 — 18 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Beloved, every where and every time, in all ages, their is something that characterised saints and believers that fear the Lord. They determinedly depart from everything and anything the scriptures referred to as evil.

I rejoice and I am persuaded that this is your present lifestyle.

Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Beloved, but whenever you see anyone and everyone who profess to be saintly or to be a believer and stubbornly and flagrantly continue in sin and compromise, you have discovered a pitiable, damnable dead living Christian.

Now see what our Lord said about these professors of religion and nominal churchgoers.

Rev 3:1 — 3 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Now consider these Jews in Bible days professing religion but completely dead. May this never ever be your situation in Jesus name.

2Ki 17:32 — 35 So they feared the Lord, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. They feared the Lord, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the Lord, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the Lord commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; With whom the Lord had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:

2 Kings 17:41 So these nations feared the Lord, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

Zephaniah 1:5 And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham;

Pause a little here. Do you claim to be a believer and you are doing what the Bible expressly reveals as sinful? The consequences of such behavior and lifestyle are fearsome. God turns to do them evil after doing them good.

He usually changed their glory to shame. None of these shall be your portion in Jesus name.

Remember king Saul and Lucifer, the most beautiful arc angel turned most ugly creature.

See it yourself.

Jos 24:14 — 20 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods; For the Lord our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed: And the Lord drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the Lord; for he is our God. And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the Lord: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.

Hosea 4:7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

Beloved I am persuaded of you that this is unlike you. But then if the blessed Holy Spirit is prompting you to examine yourself and avoid damnable presumption, don’t hesitate to heed this warning. This is because it very dangerous to be halting between two opinions.

1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Dearly beloved in prophecy through the prophets of old and in revelations from our loving Father in heaven. Jesus’s words must be heard , believed and obeyed.

Deu 18:18 — 19 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Mat 17:3 —5 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Act 3:22 — 23 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

The reason for this is because, the words of our Lord shall abide forever and shall determine the eternal well-being of all humanity and that includes you.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Jn 12:46 — 48 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Now consider these sayings of Christ and that of the blessed Holy Spirit and check up in your own life how they affects you.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Rev 3:15 — 16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Luke 15:32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Eph 2:1 — 2 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:4 — 5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Be very objective about your discovery. Are you a living Christian or a dead living Christian according to the words of our Lord and that of the blessed Holy Spirit ?

I am persuaded you are a living Christian. But if you discover, different thing. Then do the needful immediately. See this example of what to do and do likewise.

Luk 15:17 — 24 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Friend, no doubt the end time is here and the rapture is dawning. God shall go out of His way to help you in particular to be part of it in Jesus name. But then please avoid every act of willful presumption.

Our Lord discovered the true position of these believers them and warned them. The same warning is coming to you in particular, because you are very dear to Him. Check it out.

How does it affects your present Christian profession ? See it without any iota of presumption.

Friend see what you should be doing that can guarantee your readiness when the rapture shall take place.

1. Reckon yourself dead to sin. Meaning you will determinedly do away with anything and everything and everyone the Bible reveals as sinful

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2. You jealously watch over your bodies and never ever allow any of them to make you sin against God.

Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Rom 12:1 — 2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

3. You determinedly love Jesus and follow Him wholeheartedly every time and every where through thick and thin.

2Co 5:14 — 15 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Rev 14:4 — 5 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

The good Lord shall make His sufficient grace available for you in particular in Jesus name.

2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
