Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | July 8, 2020 | LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – JOB | WAITING ON GOD | If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. – Job 14:14

Beloved, I sincerely rejoice and celebrate you, because, by receiving Jesus into your hearts and have come out completely from unequal yoke, you have become, sons and daughters of God Almighty.

This is the best thing that can happen to you. Please make sure you sustain the relationship till Christ comes. God will surely make available to you in particular, the grace to do so in Jesus name.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

2Co 6:17 — 2Co 6:18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

1 John 3:1. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

However, you must realize and appreciate your loving Father in heaven, that He is sovereign and unquestionable. You must be in agreement with Him at all times, to walk with Him.

Job 23:13 — Job 23:14 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him?
and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me:
and many such things are with him.

1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

This becomes necessary because God is a God of patience and work only with His time table.

Neither your fasting and prayers can influence or coerce Him, He has appointed time for everything emanating from Him.

Romans 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

Gen 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Beloved, See these instances.

1. The seed of the woman.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Mat 1:24 — Mat 1:25 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Between Genesis and Matthew gospel, there was a space of almost four thousand years. This was the fullness of time as seen in the following scripture.

Gal 4:4 — Gal 4:5 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

2. The conception of the Virgin as prophesied by Isaiah took seven hundred years to be fulfilled.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign;
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Mat 1:22 — Mat 1:23 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

3. The flood that destroyed the world.

Noah waited for one hundred and twenty years, before it was fulfilled.

Gen 6:17 — Gen 6:18 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

Gen 7:1 — Gen 7:4 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Jam 5:10 — Jam 5:11 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

2. Abraham.

Heb 6:13 — Heb 6:15 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Whenever, God promise to do something for you or you want God to do something for you. Then you should be prepared to patiently wait for His appointed time.

It does not matter your fasting and prayers or the prayer of any anointed servant of God.

God will provide you with your requests only according to His timetable and appointed time.

Gen 21:1 — Gen 21:2 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Isaiah 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God;
we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Only those who patiently wait for Him, shall not be ashamed. You shall not be ashamed in Jesus name as you henceforth, begin to wait for God at all times.

Isaiah 49:23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers:
they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth,
and lick up the dust of thy feet;
and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

Heb 10:35 — Heb 10:37 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

The singular reason why multitude of those who profess religion don’t receive from God is their impatience and unwillingness to patiently wait for God.

I pray earnestly for you that you shall not fall a victim of this costly cankerworm in Jesus name.

Psa 106:13 — Psa 106:15 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel: But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

Receive grace to always wait patiently for the Lord at all times in every situation, till Christ comes in Jesus name.

Luk 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
