We have an advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 8, 2019. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action] – 1 John 2:1

Beloved, your loving Father in heaven has one unique attribute that distinguished Him so much.

The scriptures both in the old and new testaments affirmed it over and over. It is the fact that He from eternity past to eternity future, remains a righteous God who loves righteousness. See it yourself.

Psa 11:7 For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness;his countenance doth behold the upright.

Psa 119:137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.

Psa 129:4 The Lord is righteous:he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Psalms 145:17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Jer 12:1 Righteous art thou, O Lord, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore

Lam 1:18 The Lord is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment:hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow:my virgins and my young menare gone into captivity.

Rev 16:7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

Beloved this distinguishing attribute characterise the triune God. As you see it in the Father, so you see it in His Son Jesus Christ and the blessed Holy Spirit.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness..

Eph 5:9. (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Beloved it then follow that saints of all ages and that includes you, that must have anything to do with the triune God must have same attribute of righteousness.

This is because two can not walk together except they agree.

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

See what the scriptures says about those that have something to do with God either in the old or new testaments.

Old testament

Genesis 7:1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

New testament.

Luk 1:5 — 6 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Beloved, because you are a bona fide child of God, you also must be biblically righteous. I am persuaded you are.

Please do everything to sustain it because, God has innumerable blessings for the righteous both here and hereafter. See some of them.

1. He made them walk in His ways.

Psa 1:6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous:but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

2. He tries them to validate their profession and sincerity. Don’t marvel, if He tries you too.

Psa 11:5 The Lord trieth the righteous:but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Jer 20:12 But, O Lord of hosts, that triest the righteous,and seest the reins and the heart,let me see thy vengeance on them:for unto thee have I opened my cause.

3. He watches over them jealously.

Psa 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,and his ears are open unto their cry.

4. He delivers them from their challenges.

Psa 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous:but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

5. His secrets are with them.

Pro 3:32 For the froward is abomination to the Lord:but his secret is with the righteous.

6. He exalts and pronotes them. Remember Joseph, David, Daniel, Mordecai Esther. He will exalt you too. Expect it.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Psa 75:6 — 7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

7. He answers their prayers. He will surely do same for you too.

1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

8. Most importantly, they live with Him in eternity, just like you too shall live with Him in eternity.

Matthew 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

So continue to live in biblical righteousness till you see Jesus.

Dearly beloved, the uniform testimonies of the scriptures about Jesus your Lord and savior is that He is righteous. See some of them, even though they are inexhaustible.

Luk 23:46 — 47 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

Heb 1:8 — 9 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Dearly beloved Jesus was righteous to do two important things for the believers of all ages and that includes you.

1. To make them righteous and acceptable before God

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Rom 3:21 — 26 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.

2. In addition, Jesus provided believers of all ages and you in particular grace for them to walk in the works God ordained that shall qualify them to live with Him in eternity. The inability of believers to do this work make them reprobate and disqualify them from making heaven. You shall not be disqualified in Jesus name.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Jam 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

Jam 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Jam 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Jam 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

See the grace He provided for them and you in particular.

Tit 2:11 — 14 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

It is this righteousness that shall justify them to live in eternity and be rewarded.. Please endeavor to walk these works that makes you , live in biblical righteousness till you see Jesus.

It shall be well with you in particular in Jesus name.

1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Rev 22:11 — 12 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Friend, praise God for your resolve to be part of the dawning rapture. It shall not elude you in particular in Jesus name.

But then remember you are going to be living eternally with Jesus who is righteous.

Friend, because of this you must be walking in biblical righteousness now for you to be ready for this imminent event.

Isa 33:15 — 17 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks:bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

Mat 25:34 — 40 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
