And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the Lord, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen – Ruth 2:20

Beloved, the book of Ruth among all the books in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, testified about the uppermost ministry of our Lord and the essence of His earthly ministry.

By now you are persuaded that the entire books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, are glorious testimonies of our most precious Lord.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

But then the book of Ruth in particular stand out to reveal our Lord as near of kin, the restorer of life, the anointed and ordained Redeemer. See these for yourself.

Rth 2:20 And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the Lord, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen

Ruth 3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

How do you know that near kinsman means Redeemer. See this.

Leviticus 25:25 If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.

Jesus Christ our Lord is the anointed , the Christ, the ordained Redeemer by our glorious Father in heaven.

1Pe 1:18 — 1Pe 1:19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth,and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

But then you must discover the singular reason why Christ redeemed you in particular, from the book of Ruth. See this again.

Ruth 3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

Ruth said to Boaz, the near kinsman to spread his skirt over her, his handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman. It means you are my redeemer, spread your skirt on me and take me as your wife..

This is ultimately the reason why you are redeemed, to be married to Christ for ever at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Rev 19:6 — Rev 19:9 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Boaz ultimately married Ruth and gave birth to Obed, the great grand father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rth 4:9 — Rth 4:10 And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi. Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.

Rth 4:13 — Rth 4:17 So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son. And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him. And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it. And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

This now is the Crux of the matter.
Why did Boaz a Jew of Bethlehem Judah, married Ruth a gentile from a cursed nation?

Ruth left her nation and dolatry completely. Consecrated herself to be a virtuous woman. See it.

Rth 3:10 — Rth 3:11 And he said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.

What does it mean to be virtuous?
It means morally excellent, righteous etc.

So beloved, if your redemption is biblical and you are really born again and have become new creature. Then you must determindly walk with Christ in scriptural holiness and righteousness, till He comes.

Heb 1:8 — Heb 1:9 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Receive grace to do so in Jesus name.
