And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. – Genesis 2:18
Dearly beloved brethren, we come again to another Bible doctrine in our study of Genesis and we are going to spend some time, examining biblical marriage.
God Himself established marriage and family.
Psalms 68:6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
When He established marriage, He gave His people unchanging pattern. See His unchanging pattern again.
Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
God, compel all His creatures men and women to marry.
This is because, by His eternal wisdom, He said, it is not good for a man or woman to be alone.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. – Genesis 2:18
No one is permitted to make himself or herself: MS or eunuch, except you are called unto it.
Matthew 19:12
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
There are numerous benefits of marriage. See some of the benefits.

Some of these we shall examine in details. But then, see the basic things you need to know about Biblical marriage.
It is for life. No divorce and remarriage.
Matthew 19:3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
God hate divorce and remarriage.
Malachi 2:14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 2:15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. 2:16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
Divorce and remarriage is daily adultery and it’s damnable
Mark 10:5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 10:7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 10:8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 10:10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. 10:11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress,
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. – Genesis 2:18
Only on account of death of your spouse that you can remarry again and it must be in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress,
The good Lord shall help you in particular to live by God’s standard of marriage, to guarantee your eternal well being..
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. – Genesis 2:18
