Is your name written in the lambs book of life?

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | March 8, 2020. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Exodus 1:1-5 – Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

Beloved, whatever you see or read in the Bible, must draw your attention and you must make effort to meditate on it and discover why it is so.

Think about why the blessed Holy Spirit the author of the Bible, chooses to begin the book of Exodus, capturing the names of the children of Israel that came to Egypt. See it.

Exo 1:1 — Exo 1:5 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

This is to impress it in your heart, that the minutest of whatever, you are doing today either in the secret or in the open are captured in details and shall be referred to in the future that might not be distant.

Ecc 12:13 — Ecc 12:14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Never fall into the delusion of multitude of people inside or outside the church in our days,, who felt, because nothing happened when they did something, so they at liberty to be doing whatever they like.

Ecc 8:11 — Ecc 8:13 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

Beloved, you must back your earnest desire to be part of the dawning rapture or living eternally with God in heaven with requisite action.

Your name, not the name of your family. Your own very name, must be written in the book of life and remain there until Jesus comes.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Pause here and meditate deeply and check up with the blessed Holy Spirit. You claim to be born again. Praise God. But then, if you are really born again, something must happen. Your own very name must be written in the book of life. Is your name there? Check up. Don’t assume. Don’t be presumptuous. Be very sure. Is your name in the book of life?

Philippians 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Praise the Lord for whatever you are doing in your church or perhaps in the kingdom. But realise, whatever you are doing is not celebrate- able, unless your name is written in the book of life.

Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Beloved, this is very very important. Don’t miss it.

It is great that you are very very important in your church and your name carries so much weight in your church. But then, is it written also in the glorious church in heaven with Christ our Lord?

Heb 12:22 — Heb 12:24 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Beloved, glory and honor to God of heaven that your own name is even written in heaven. You must be very very careful to ensure that, your name is not blotted out of the book of life.

Multitude in the Bible days and even in our contemporary days have their names removed from the book of life on account of sin , compromise and disobedience.

Exodus 32:33 And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Please always remember this. Your name can be blotted out of the book of life, if in the time past you are believing the totality of God’s unfailing words in the Bible.

But now, because of one reason or the other, you lost your convictions and you don’t believe the entirety of God’s words again. See what the scriptures says.

Rev 22:18 — Rev 22:19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

1Ti 4:1 — 1Ti 4:2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Gal 1:6 — Gal 1:9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

2Co 11:2 — 2Co 11:4 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Beloved, because God shall help you in particular to be part of the dawning rapture or glory with God, you must overcome sin, satan, self, the flesh and the world and worldliness to keep your name in the book of life.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

This becomes necessary and extremely important, because, anyone and everyone whose name is not found in the book of life shall end up in the lake of fire and be part of the great tribulation. This shall not be your portion, so avoid it with all the strength and grace, God has given you.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Rev 13:16 — Rev 13:18 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The good Lord shall help you in particular.

Is your name in the book of life? If you are sure fine. But if you are not sure, do something drastic about it now. Tomorrow might be too late.

2 Corinthians 6:2. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

May the Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
