Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
True Christ Jesus is our Lord Savior, Master and Redeemer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christ in deed is our Master and Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is our Savior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christ our Redeemer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But more importantly, Christ Jesus is our friend and a very very true friend in deed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus Christ is a friend that loves you at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just like in the time past, God the Father had a friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isaiah 41:8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So what do you do, to keep the friendship of Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Fear His Father to guarantee your eternal wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Keep His commandments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus Christ in deed a friend closer than earthly brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. What a friend we have in Jesus,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All our sins and griefs to bear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What a privilege to carry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ev’rything to God in prayer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, what needless pain we bear<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All because we do not carry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ev\u2019rything to God in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Have we trials and temptations?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is there trouble anywhere?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We should never be discouraged,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take it to the Lord in prayer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can we find a Friend so faithful,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who will all our sorrows share?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus knows our every weakness,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take it to the Lord in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Are we weak and heavy laden,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cumbered with a load of care?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Precious Saviour, still our refuge,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take it to the Lord in prayer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take it to the Lord in prayer;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thou wilt find a solace there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
