{"id":18183,"date":"2026-04-08T19:22:52","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T18:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/?p=18183"},"modified":"2026-04-08T19:22:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T18:22:57","slug":"jesus-christ-our-true-friend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/08\/jesus-christ-our-true-friend\/","title":{"rendered":"Jesus Christ our true Friend."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Christlike friendship<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs&nbsp; 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>True Christ Jesus is our Lord Savior, Master and Redeemer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christ in deed is our Master and Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John&nbsp; 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is our Savior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John&nbsp; 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christ our Redeemer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Galatians&nbsp; 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:&nbsp; 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revelation&nbsp; 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But more importantly, Christ Jesus is our friend and a very very true friend in deed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John&nbsp; 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.&nbsp; 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus Christ is a friend that loves you at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs&nbsp; 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like in the time past, God the Father had a friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isaiah&nbsp; 41:8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James&nbsp; 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what do you do, to keep the friendship of Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Fear His Father to guarantee your eternal wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.&nbsp; 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Keep His commandments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John&nbsp; 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.&nbsp; 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John&nbsp; 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 John&nbsp; 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus Christ in deed a friend closer than earthly brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs&nbsp; 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. What a friend we have in Jesus,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All our sins and griefs to bear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What a privilege to carry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ev&#8217;rything to God in prayer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, what peace we often forfeit,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, what needless pain we bear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All because we do not carry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ev\u2019rything to God in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Have we trials and temptations?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is there trouble anywhere?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We should never be discouraged,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take it to the Lord in prayer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can we find a Friend so faithful,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who will all our sorrows share?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus knows our every weakness,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take it to the Lord in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Are we weak and heavy laden,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cumbered with a load of care?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Precious Saviour, still our refuge,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take it to the Lord in prayer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take it to the Lord in prayer;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In His arms He&#8217;ll take and shield thee,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thou wilt find a solace there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us pray.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christlike friendship Proverbs&nbsp; 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
