Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.&nbsp; 1:10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.&nbsp; 1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.&nbsp; 1:27 For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hannah had breakthrough because she persisted in earnest prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elijah opened heaven and brought rain, as he persisted in prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Kings&nbsp; 18:41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.&nbsp; 18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,&nbsp; 18:43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.&nbsp; 18:44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man&#8217;s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.&nbsp; 18:45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The church in Jerusalem persisted in prayers and got Peter delivered from the death of Herod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts&nbsp; 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.&nbsp; 12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.&nbsp; 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.&nbsp; 12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.&nbsp; 12:9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.&nbsp; 12:10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.&nbsp; 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christ our Master said we should pray and not faint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God gave a panacea,&nbsp; call upon me, I will deliver you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Psalms&nbsp; 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He promised to answer as you pray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isaiah&nbsp; 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Effectual fervent prayers of the righteous avail much&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James&nbsp; 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
