Supposing you are called to eternity now. How prepared are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deuteronomy 32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are you considering where you are going to spend eternity? Heaven or hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bear God’s counsel this morning and be thoughtful about where you will spend eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Proverbs 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many people inside and outside of the church live in delusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isaiah 47:7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You think you will continue to live forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jeremiah 17:11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must make deliberate efforts to avoid eternal regret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Make efforts to avoid deception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you don’t then damnation is inevitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So be wise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hosea 14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Begin henceforth to apply your heart to wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psalms 90:9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Avoid being a rich fool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 12:21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consider your ways. If you are called home now, where will you spend eternity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Haggai 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be prepared to meet with God in heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amos 4:12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
