You must avoid idolatry by following man, or your pastor, instead of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whose word have final authority over your life? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it God’s word in the Bible or your pastor’s word?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must examine yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must not love anyone more than God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must be like the Berean Christian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acts 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember Jesus died for you, not your pastor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 Corinthians 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
