{"id":17203,"date":"2025-06-06T21:55:38","date_gmt":"2025-06-06T20:55:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/?p=17203"},"modified":"2025-06-06T21:55:39","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T20:55:39","slug":"pray-and-dont-faint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/06\/pray-and-dont-faint\/","title":{"rendered":"Pray and don&#8217;t faint."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone on earth, believers and unbelievers alike will have troublous period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Peter&nbsp; 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:&nbsp; 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So the blessed Holy Spirit says you should not faint., no matter the severity of the challenges because there is a way out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs&nbsp; 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Corinthians&nbsp; 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you need to do is to pray without ceasing.&nbsp; Meaning praying till you receive your miracle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listen to examples of those who pray until they received.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elijah<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Kings&nbsp; 18:1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.&nbsp; 18:41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.&nbsp; 18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,&nbsp; 18:43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.&nbsp; 18:44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man&#8217;s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.&nbsp; 18:45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew&nbsp; 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.&nbsp; 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.&nbsp; 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?&nbsp; 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.&nbsp; 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.&nbsp; 26:43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.&nbsp; 26:44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.&nbsp; 26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The widow in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 18:2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:&nbsp; 18:3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.&nbsp; 18:4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;&nbsp; 18:5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.&nbsp; 18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.&nbsp; 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The church in Jerusalem&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts&nbsp; 12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.&nbsp; 12:2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.&nbsp; 12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)&nbsp; 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.&nbsp; 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.&nbsp; 12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.&nbsp; 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.&nbsp; 12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did.
