Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For you to be ready when our Lord shall come, it is important that you are heavenly minded..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To do this you must conscientiously give attention to doing things at all times, that will not jeopardize your desire to live eternally with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must ensure you are walking on the road that leads to eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must be holy and walking on the way of holiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke 1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must determinedly avoid gaining anything at the expense of your eternal wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must be watchful and avoid straying away from your readiness for the coming of the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lastly you must ensure your name is written in the book of life and sustained there till Christ comes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Exodus 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doing all these will help you to be heavenly minded and ready when our Lord comes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
