{"id":16383,"date":"2024-10-19T00:18:02","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T23:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/?p=16383"},"modified":"2024-10-19T00:18:03","modified_gmt":"2024-10-18T23:18:03","slug":"the-gift-of-tongues-in-the-believers-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/19\/the-gift-of-tongues-in-the-believers-life\/","title":{"rendered":"The gift of tongues in the believers life."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp; gift of tongues in the believers life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts&nbsp; 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.&nbsp; 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.&nbsp; 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.&nbsp; 2:7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?&nbsp; 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?&nbsp; 2:9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,&nbsp; 2:10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,&nbsp; 2:11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.&nbsp; 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?&nbsp; 2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark&nbsp; 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Corinthians&nbsp; 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gift of tongues plays a prominent role in the believers life and must be covered or desired because of its spiritual benefits to the believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many reasons the church of Christ globally should desire this gift and sustain it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Evidence of genuineness of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts&nbsp; 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark&nbsp; 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts&nbsp; 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.&nbsp; 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts&nbsp; 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. The tongues&nbsp; is a gift to profit the believers and the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Corinthians&nbsp; 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.&nbsp; 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:&nbsp; 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.&nbsp; 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Edifies and build up the believers and the church when it is interpreted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Corinthians&nbsp; 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.&nbsp; 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.&nbsp; 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.&nbsp; 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jude&nbsp; 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Endeavor to cover this gift of the Holy Spirit because of its tremendous blessings to your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Corinthians&nbsp; 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?&nbsp; 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us pray.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp; gift of tongues in the believers life.
