{"id":15590,"date":"2024-03-26T08:56:10","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T07:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/?p=15590"},"modified":"2024-03-26T08:56:15","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T07:56:15","slug":"eternity-is-near","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clcbconline.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/26\/eternity-is-near\/","title":{"rendered":"Eternity is near."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Eternity is near.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people on earth inside and outside of the church are living their lives as if, this is where they are going to be forever and ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Psalms&nbsp; 49:10 For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.&nbsp; 49:11 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.&nbsp; 49:12 Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:&nbsp; 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?&nbsp; 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.&nbsp; 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.&nbsp; 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are not thoughtful of the fact, that one day, we are going to leave here and go to a place where we are going to be forever and ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two places all of us in the earth are heading too and everyday of our lives, we are getting closer and closer to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew&nbsp; 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daniel&nbsp; 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.&nbsp; 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.&nbsp; 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are presently going on a particular road that leads to somewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew&nbsp; 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:&nbsp; 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,&nbsp; 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For you not to regret at the end of time, you must be very wise by thinking always, where you are having to spend eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deuteronomy&nbsp; 32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs&nbsp; 15:24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs&nbsp; 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew&nbsp; 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:&nbsp; 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.&nbsp; 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:&nbsp; 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listen to a man that was not thoughtful of his eternal well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke&nbsp; 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:&nbsp; 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,&nbsp; 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man&#8217;s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.&nbsp; 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham&#8217;s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;&nbsp; 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.&nbsp; 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.&nbsp; 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are you going to do to avoid this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Psalms&nbsp; 90:9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.&nbsp; 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.&nbsp; 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pause and examine yourself this evening. Where are you going to spend eternity, if you are called home tonight?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 Corinthians&nbsp; 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is your name in the book of life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revelation&nbsp; 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exodus&nbsp; 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revelation&nbsp; 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us pray.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eternity is near.
