Finding Christ

by Bishop Peter Babalolain Devotional

Finding Christ

Proverbs  8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

When you find Christ, you have found the greatest treasure with earthly and eternal blessings and benefits.

When you find Christ you receive eternal life from Him.

John  10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

And then if you wholeheartedly follow Him to the end, you receive life eternal through Him.

Matthew  25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

But then pause, it is true you might have found many other treasures.

Perhaps, you have found wife, wisdom, breakthrough, divers treasures etc

Proverbs  3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.  3:14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.  3:15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.  3:16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.  3:17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.  3:18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Proverbs  18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

But have you found Christ?

Great day in your life when you find Him.

John  1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;  1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!  1:37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.  1:38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?  1:39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.  1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.  1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.  1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew and Peter his brother found Christ.

1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.  1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.  1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!  1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.  1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Philip and Nathaniel found Christ.

The four were profited,  because they all were ultimately ordained members of His disciples.

What did they benefit?

Matthew  19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke  22:28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.  22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;  22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Revelation  21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

.

When you too find Christ and follow Him wholeheartedly to the end, you will live eternally with Him in heaven and be fulfilled according to God’s perfect will on earth.

John  12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Pause and be very very sincere to yourself.

True you have breakthroughs on transient things. But have you really found Christ?

Is your name in the book of life?

Are you ready as a wise virgin, for the imminent rapture?

True you have gained the world,  will it profit you, if your precious undying soul is damned?

Matthew  16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Great day in your life when you find Jesus?

When you find Him, you find life eternal, meaning eternity with God and favor on earth all through your life.

Proverbs  8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Sincerely examine yourself, Have you really find Christ?

Tomorrow might be too late. Endeavor to find Him, now.

Let Him, become your Lord and Savior.

Then God’s lifetime favor and eternity with Him, will surely be your portion in name.

Proverbs  8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

.

Let us pray .
