Resurrection of Christ , foreshadowing the imminent rapture.

Resurrection of Christ, foreshadowing  the imminent rapture

2 Timothy  2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

Bible believing believers must believe the certainty of the imminent rapture.

The scriptures affirmed it to be. But then one major event that affirms the imminent rapture, much more than any other thing, was the resurrection of our Master and Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians  15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1 Thessalonians  4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Beloved, no doubt you are fully persuaded about the imminent rapture, let this persuasion make you to begin to fully prepare for it, as a wise virgin.

Matthew  25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:  25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.  25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.  25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

What are you suppose to be doing to help you to be ready when it takes place?

First, ensure you are biblically born again and you are a new creature, with your name written in the book of life.

John  3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Secondly, you must heed God’s call to biblical holiness lifestyle.

1 Thessalonians  4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Peter  1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

You become biblically holy or sanctified, by reaching out to Jesus to do it for you.

Hebrews  13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.  13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Then you continue to cleanse and purify yourself with His precious blood till He comes.

2 Corinthians  7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

1 Thessalonians  5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John  3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Thirdly you set your affections on heavenly things.

Colossians  3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Lastly you engage in rescuing others in your world of influence,  through your Christlike lifestyle, consistent intercession and evangelism to prepare them also ready for the imminent rapture.

Luke  19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Matthew  28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

His grace will be sufficient for you in Jesus name.

2 Corinthians  9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Let us pray.
