Healing through Christ by regularly attending church service.

Healings through Christ by regularly attending church service.

Psalms  16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalms  84:7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

Psalms  122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

Isaiah  45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Isaiah  56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Habakkuk  2:20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

Mark  11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Your house of assembly that you called Church is a very important place.

It is more than building. It is indeed God’s residence. It is God’s dwelling place.

Psalms  11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

Psalms  132:13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.  132:14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.  132:15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Habakkuk  2:20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

It is very very important for you to be in attendance,  whenever services are being conducted.

This is because the Lord is always present and answering the prayers of faithful worshippers.

Isaiah  46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Acts  13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.  13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

During the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, He went about visiting and preaching in the temple and synagogues.

Matthew  4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew  9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

The Sabbath day was the day they gathered together for worship.

Luke  4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

On a particular they Jesus went to teach in one of their numerous synagogues.

He saw a woman who had great challenges in her life, that had been there for eighteen years, yet came to worship God, on that Sabbath day.

Luke  13:10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.  13:11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.  13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.  13:13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.  13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

Many so called believers have been fasting and praying for a long time. God has planned the appointed time for their prayers to be answered.

Genesis  18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Exodus  23:15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

Habakkuk  2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Galatians  4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Very unfortunately,  they will not attend service that day.

Imagine this woman who had challenges for eighteen years was not in that synagogue that day.

Jesus who had just three years for His ministry on earth might not visit that synagogue again.

It could be that, the woman might died with the problem except God’s Providence and mercies work another thing. But apparently it might take very long time.

13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day

Remember it is sinful to forsake the assembly of yourself together.

Hebrews  10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

It is important that you honour the Lord with your time in appreciation of His numerous unmerited mercies in your life and family.

When you attend service, make sure you give attention to God’s words and be willing to be doing the words at all times. This will make your service not to be abomination.

Proverbs  28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Proverbs  15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Proverbs  21:27 The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

Obedience to God’s words at all times will make your sacrifice acceptable and receive answers to your prayers.

Hebrews  13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Jesus healed that woman of eighteen years infirmity. He will do same for you this morning in Jesus name.

Our Lord has not changed. He will do same for you this morning in Jesus name.

Hebrews  13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Let us pray.
