Your ultimate goal should be to partake in Revelation 21:3.

Revelation  21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

To follow Jesus to heaven, you must commit yourself to doing the following:

Not being part of great tribulation.

Revelation  7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.  7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.  7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Not defiled with women.

Revelation  14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.  14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Serve Him.

John  12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Avoid Hell fire determinedly.

Mark  9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.  9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.  9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:  9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Luke  13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,  13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.  13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:  13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.  13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.  13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Strive to enter at the straight gate and remain there till Christ comes.
