Book of Luke

The bible from the gospel of Luke reveals JESUS CHRIST our Lord as the Son of Man, the perfect man and Savior, the Divine-Human Savior. Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is  come to seek and to save that which was lost.

JESUS CHRIST our Lord was the perfect man and Savior. He alone was the Divine-Human Savior, who was God’s provision of salvation for all fallen race of Adam’s descendants. Matthew 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

1. Son of Man, sought and saved the lost.

2. Son of Man’s Sacrifice, saving the Lost.

3. Sinners misfortune & sensuality, spurning  their liberator.

1. Son of Man, sought and saved the lost.

Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is  come to seek and to save that which was lost

Our Lord JESUS CHRIST was the compassionate and tender Savior, who came, sought, called and saved the lost.

Luke 5:32:  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Luke  15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?  15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.  15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

Luke 15:32: It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Ezekiel 34:16: I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick:

Praise the Lord, Jesus has found you.

2. Son of Man’s Sacrifice, saving the Lost.

Matthew 1:21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

As He did personally in His earthly ministry, so His ministry continues today through His faithful ministers, seeking, calling and pointing the lost mankind to appropriate the atoning sacrifice of our Savior for their redemption.

Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is  come to seek and to save that which was lost.

How grateful we are to our father in heaven, whose agape, everlasting love, was commended to all mankind, through CHRIST’s substitutional sacrifice.

Romans 5:6: For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

1 John 4:9: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:10: Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:14: And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

The sacrifice of CHRIST was efficacious and sufficient to save all sinners of all generations.

It availed for: Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich, Matthew, the detestable tax collector, Saul of Tarsus, the blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious fellow, the malefactor crucified with Him and seven-demon possessed Mary Magdalene, who first witnessed His glorious resurrection.

1 Timothy 1:15: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Our Lord is able to save all, willing to take advantage of His sacrificial

blood shed on the cross of Calvary.

Hebrews 7:25: Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Dearly beloved friend, if the sacrifice of the Divine-Human Savior availed for all these people. It will do same for you too.

So what are you waiting for? The son of man, JESUS CHRIST our Lord came primarily to seek and to save you in particular.

Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is  come to seek and to save that which was lost

You are destined to reign with CHRIST, not to be damned. He has fulfilled all that needed to be done, your part is to take advantage of this all sufficient atoning sacrifice.

The time is now, tomorrow might be late. I see you joining the happy team of the multitude redeemed through the sacrifice of this only Divine-Human Savior

3. Sinners misfortune & sensuality, spurning  their liberator.

Multitude of people because of lack of knowledge spurn Jesus, the liberator and wilfully reject His atoning sacrifice.

Luke  19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

John  6:41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.  6:42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?  6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.  6:48 I am that bread of life.  6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.  6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.  6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.  6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?  6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?  6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

The misfortune of rejecting the sacrifice of Christ, the liberator, is indescribable and damning.

Christ sacrifice is the singular atonement for damnable sins.

Romans  3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Everyone who rejects this singular means of reconciliation with God will be damned forever.

John  12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.  12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.  12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Be wise and do the needful.

Deuteronomy  32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

Proverbs  19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

May the good Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
