God’s delight for you.

God’s delight for you.

Jeremiah  29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God has beautiful plan for you here and hereafter.

All things written in the Bible about saints of old are for us to know and learn from their undoings for our good.

Romans  15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians  10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

He wants to give you lifetime honor and blissful eternity with Him.

John  12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Psalms  23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Abraham made a great mistake, going to Egypt without hearing from God.

He self managed his life and got into real trouble.

He took God’s intervention for him to come out of it.

Please avoid doing same mistake. Don’t self manage your life intimes of temporary challenges.

Genesis  12:10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.  12:11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:  12:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.  12:13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.  12:14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.  12:15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house.  12:16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.  12:17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife.  12:18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?  12:19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.  12:20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

Isaac had the same challenge but heard from God and obeyed.

His obedience brought great breakthroughs to his life.

Follow that example of doing whatever God says in His words, during life challenges.

Genesis  26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.  26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:  26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;  26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;  26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.  26:6 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:  26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.  26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:  26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Your obedience will bring you lifetime blessings.

Jeremiah  7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Let us pray.
