Doing according to God’s commandments.

Doing according to God’s commandments.

Genesis  6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

The reason why multitude miss out from God, is because of their outright disobedience to God or partial obedience. Neither is acceptable to God.

Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joseph the husband of Mary, our Lord Jesus Christ were obedient to God in all things and at all times.

Noah

Genesis  6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Abraham

Genesis  17:23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

Moses

Exodus  40:16 Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.

Joseph

Matthew  1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.  1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.  1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,  1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.  1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:  1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Jesus

John  6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

John  8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Philippians  2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

God’s expectations from you at all times, is doing what He said.

King Saul was rejected by God, because of partial obedience.

1 Samuel  15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Total obedience makes you a wise person and disobedience makes you a foolish person.

Matthew  7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.  7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Doing according to God’s commandments is the only thing that endears you to God and guarantee your eternal wellbeing.

Deuteronomy  12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

John  2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

John  15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Hebrews  11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.  11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

1 John  5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Always remember doing as God commanded is the only expectation of God from you.

Genesis  6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Let us pray.
