Overcoming the wiles of the devil.

Overcoming the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

As God’s people who lounges  to be doing His will at all times and in all things, we are often determinedly confronted by satanic spirit beings.

1 Peter  5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

John  10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

These beings have sensual devilish weapons to unleash their evil intentions.

One major weapon they deploy always is, hurt God’s people with subtilty or deception.

That was what the devil used against Eve and lured her to disobeying God.

2 Corinthians  11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

This same weapon was used by the Sanhedrin against our Master and Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew  26:3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,  26:4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

satan and his cohorts from inception are known for deception.

Revelation  12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

But then as a child of God you can easily disarmed them by choosing to be obedient to God in all things and at all times.

James  4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Proverbs  1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

1 John  5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

No wonder the blessed Holy Spirit exhort believers to put on the whole armor at all times.

The good Lord will help us all to continue to overcome them till He comes in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
