Evangelism and miracles.

Evangelism and miracles.

Acts  9:32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.  9:33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.  9:34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.  9:35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

Beloved Brethren, signs and wonders and miracles are still for today.  But then, they are experienced most time in evangelism field.

Peter left Jerusalem and went on evangelism field.  He saw a man that had been sick for eight years and he healed him.

This was what Jesus promised will be happening, when you commit yourself to reaching out to preaching the gospel for those in your world of influence to be saved.

Matthew  10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.  10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Mark  16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;  16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

The Bible says Jesus did what He taught.

Acts  1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Listen to what Jesus did.

Matthew  4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew  9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Like Peter, did,  Phillip went to Samaria and preached the gospel and miracles happened.

Acts  8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.  8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.  8:6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.  8:7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.  8:8 And there was great joy in that city.

Paul and Barnabas did same.

Acts  14:1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.  14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

It is important for you to know that neither will the people be saved or experience miracles, until you go out to preach the gospel.

Romans  10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

The good Lord shall help you to be obedient to the great commission in Jesus name.

Amen.

Let us pray.
