Hardness of heart and it’s consequences.

by Bishop Peter Babalolain Devotional

Hardness of heart and it’s eternal consequences.

Acts  7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.  7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:  7:53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

All things written in the scriptures are for your learning. Romans  15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 1 Corinthians  10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

One major undoing of the chicken of Israel in the wilderness or during the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ was hardness of heart

This was why almost all missed the promised land and eternity with God.

Acts  7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Exodus  32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Exodus  33:3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.  33:5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

Psalms 95:8
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Proverbs 28:14
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

Isaiah 63:17
O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

Jeremiah  17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

Zechariah  7:11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.  7:12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

Hebrews 3:8
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Hebrews 3:15
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Very very unfortunately, this same attitude, is the undoing of majority of churchgoers globally.

You must do yourself a favor to free yourself from this damnable attitude.

Give God opportunity to circumcise your heart and you will be free completely.

Deuteronomy  30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Ezekiel  36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Hebrews  13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

This experience is attainable after you have been biblically saved.

It is the second work of grace.

Come to the Lord now and be biblically sanctified after your salvation experience.

And you will be totally free from this damnable attitude in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
