Godly attitude to unfriendly friends.

Godly attitude to unfriendly friends.

Acts  7:11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.  7:12 But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.  7:13 And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.  7:14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

You must always remember that you are a child of God and no matter what others have done to you,  you must forgive and never ever retaliate, if you want to live eternally with God.

Matthew  5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.  5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?  5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?  5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Ephesians  4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Romans  12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.  12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.  12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.  12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Thessalonians  5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

1 Peter  3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

Philippians  2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

This was the attitude of Joseph, our Lord Jesus Christ and other saints in the Bible.

Joseph

Genesis  45:1 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.  45:2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.  45:3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.  45:4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.  45:5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.  45:6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.  45:7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.  45:8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.  45:9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:  45:10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:  45:11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.

Genesis  50:15 And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.  50:16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,  50:17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.  50:18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.  50:19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?  50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.  50:21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

Abraham to Lot.

Genesis  14:11 And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.  14:12 And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.  14:13 And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.  14:14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.  14:15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.  14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Luke  23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

Stephen

Acts  7:57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,  7:58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.  7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.  7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Receive grace to do same in Jesus name.

2 Corinthians  9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Continue forgive and be  doing good to every unfriendly friends till Christ comes in Jesus name.
