Seeking God’s guidance at all times, pathway to better decision making.

Seeking God’s guidance at all times, pathway to better decision making.

Acts  1:21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,  1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.  1:23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.  1:24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,  1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.  1:26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

The disciples of Christ sought guidance of God, to replace Judas. The Lord in deed according to His unfailing promises, guided them and they made right decision in chosen a replacement for Judas.

For you also in your life, everytime you sincerely seek the guidance of the Lord on any issue, He will always guide you according to His unfailing promises.

Psalms  32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Psalms  48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Isaiah  42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.  42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’s servant?

Isaiah  48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.  48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:  48:21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.

Jeremiah  33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Joshua suffered two  irrecoverable setbacks in his ministry, because, he failed to ask for God’s guidance.

Joshua  9:14 And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.

However, David and apostle Paul and his teams were guided by the Lord to make right decisions.

David

1 Samuel  30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.  30:7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.  30:8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

Paul and his team

Acts  16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,  16:7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.  16:8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.  16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.  16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

Endeavor to follow the good examples of the disciples of Christ,  David and apostle Paul and God will continue to guide you to make right decisions in your life in Jesus name.

Psalms  32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Jeremiah  33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

John  16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Let us pray.
