Lifetime  and eternal breakthroughs through biblical godliness

Psalms  1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Good News

Psalms 1:1-3

[1]Happy are those     who reject the advice of evil people,     who do not follow the example of sinners     or join those who have no use for God.

[2]Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord,     and they study it day and night.

[3]They are like trees that grow beside a stream,     that bear fruit at the right time,     and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.

NLT

Psalms 1:1-3

[1]Oh, the joys of those who do not

follow the advice of the wicked,

    or stand around with sinners,

    or join in with mockers.

[2]But they delight in the law of the lord,

meditating on it day and night.

[3]They are like trees planted along the riverbank,

    bearing fruit each season.

Their leaves never wither,

and they prosper in all they do.

Godliness will earn you so much blessings from God now and at eternity.

Godliness will bring God to take you to greater heights on this life and I’m eternity.

Deuteronomy  28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.  28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

His secrets of success will also be revealed to you on account of godliness.

Psalms  25:12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.  25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Proverbs  3:32 For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

Listen to some of them.

Proverbs  22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Proverbs  10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

Proverbs  12:24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

Jeremiah  17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.  17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Listen to some examples.

Isaac

Genesis  26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.  26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:  26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;  26:6 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:  26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.  26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:  26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Jacob

Genesis  30:37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.  30:38 And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.  30:39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.  30:40 And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.  30:41 And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.  30:43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

Genesis  31:10 And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled.  31:11 And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.  31:12 And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.

Joseph

Genesis  41:15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.  41:16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.  41:25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.  41:37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.  41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?  41:39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:  41:40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.  41:41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Daniel

Daniel  2:26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?  2:27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;  2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;  2:46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.  2:47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.  2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.  2:49 Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

All of these saints are with God in heaven.

Hebrews  11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.  11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.  11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Luke  13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Matthew  8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

What God has done for these pathraics of old, He will do for us, if we walk in biblical godliness like them..

How can we attain these biblical

 godliness?

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Through the grace of God we are biblically saved and press on to become biblically sanctified.

This biblical godliness is the second work of grace.

Luke  1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

What God did for saints of old, Be wants to do for us, if we walk with Him in biblical godliness like them.

Let us pray.
