God’s lifetime favour for the biblically righteous.

Psalms 5:12
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

God will always bless the righteous. This is because He is a righteous God.

Psalms  11:7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Psalms  145:17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Jesus will always bless the righteous, because He is righteous.

Hebrews  1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

1 John  2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

How do you attain biblical righteousness?

It is called God’s righteousness.

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

There is a righteousness that is not of God.

Isaiah  64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Listen to an example of such filthy righteousness.

Luke  18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.  18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

How do you attain God’s righteousness?  This righteousness are in two categories.

 Imputeth righteousness 

Imparteth righteousness.

Imputeth righteousness.

You receive it by having wholehearted faith in the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary.

Romans  3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

The second is the imparteth righteousness.

Righteousness obtained through God’s grace in your life.

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Through the grace of God like Christ, you hate iniquity and love righteousness.

Hebrews  1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Genesis  39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.  39:8 But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;  39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?  39:10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

Imparted righteousness made apostle Paul to remain in prison for two years instead of given Felix the governor bribe, to set him free.

Acts  24:26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.  24:27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.

You experienced this righteousness after you have been biblically saved and sanctified. 

It is the second work of grace subsequent to biblical salvation.

Luke  1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,  1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

It was the nature or image of God that Adam and Eve lost.

Ephesians  4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

When you begin to walk in biblical righteousness as a lifestyle, you have access to God’s unending favour here and hereafter.

And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.

Queen Esther.

Esther 2:15
Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

Esther 2:17
And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Esther 5:2
And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

Psalms 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalms 102:13
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

Acts  20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Mary the mother of our Lord.

Luke 1:30
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

Jesus our Lord.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
