Is Jesus Christ truly your Lord?

Is Jesus truly your Lord.

John  20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

After our Lord confronted Thomas about his unbelief. His response was very very encouraging.

His submission was notable and worthy of emulating.

Job did the same when God confronted him of his lack of knowledge.

Job  42:1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,  42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.  42:3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.  42:4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.  42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.  42:6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

King David did the same when prophet Nathan confronted him of his sins of murder and adultery.

2 Samuel  12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;  12:8 And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.  12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.  12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.  12:11 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.  12:12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.  12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

Beloved, pause and examine yourself. Do you have this penitent or contrite attitude, when you are confronted of what you have done wrong?

Do you repent in dust and ashes or justify yourself as Adam?

Job  31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:

Please learn this great lesson of brokenness from these saints of God.

God will truly forgive, if you sincerely confess and forsake your sins.

2 Chronicles  7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Ezekiel  33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

2 Peter  3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1 John  1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

May the good Lord help you to mourn for your sin, if you transgress God’s commandment in Jesus name.

Matthew  5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Thomas called Jesus Lord.

John  20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

Beloved, Jesus Christ is in deed our Lord. Listen to what the scriptures says.

John  13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

Acts 1:6
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Acts 2:36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Acts 7:59
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

Acts 9:5
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Acts 9:13
Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Acts 10:36
The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Romans  14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.  14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

1 Corinthians  8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

1 Corinthians  12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Philippians  2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians  3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

2 Peter  1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.  1:15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.  1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Pause and examine yourself sincerely, is Jesus, just your Saviour.  Is He your Lord?

The truth in Christ’s church globally is that, multitude accept Him as Saviour in deed, but not as Lord.

Listen to what He said.

Luke  6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

This is one undoing that will send multitude to hell. Listen to Him yourself.

Matthew  7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Be sincere to  examine yourself, is Jesus, just your Saviour? Is He your Lord?

If truly He is your Lord, then be obedient to Him, till He comes.

This should be your attitude to Him.

Exodus  24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

God’s grace is sufficient for you.

2 Corinthians  9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Let us pray.
