The essence of Christ’s resurrection.

The essence of Christ’s resurrection.

John  20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.  20:20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.

Our Lord in deed died and rose the third day.

This He informed His disciples, even before His crucifixion.

Matthew  16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Matthew  17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:  17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

Matthew  20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,  20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

The proclamation of the Angle about His resurrection.

Matthew  28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Our Lord Himself is the resurrection and life.

John  11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.  11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.  11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

The dead  shall hear His voice and rise.

John  5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.  5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,  5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

1 Thessalonians  4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

The centrality of the  preaching and teaching of the Bible days saints was the resurrection of Christ.

Acts  1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

There was so much resistance to the preaching of the resurrection of Christ.

Acts  4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,  4:2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.  4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Acts  17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.  17:18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.  17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.  17:32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

Acts  24:21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.

Christ’s resurrection was the reason for our faith.

1 Corinthians  15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?  15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:  15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.  15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.  15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:  15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.  15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are .  15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Jesus Christ our Lord was raised for your justification.

Romans  4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Romans  5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

You too must testify about His resurrection to prepare sinners for salvation and imminent rapture.

The good Lord shall help you to proclaim the resurrection of Christ till He comes in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
