Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace.

John  14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

NLT

John 14:27

[27]“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Amp

John 14:27

[27]Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

Good News

 John 14:27

[27]“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.

NIV

John 14:27

[27]Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

The first thing you need to know is that, our Lord is the Prince of peace and have all it takes to give peace to His people.

Isaiah  9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

There had been prophecies that our Lord will give His people peace in His days.

Psalms  72:7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave His people peace, because, He knew there is trouble in the world that can impact negatively on their peace and even affect their health.

Job  5:6 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;  5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

Job  14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

Luke  21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

It is because of these, that made our Lord to give His people, His peace.

John  14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Like our Lord Jesus Christ was the Prince of peace, our Father in heaven is the God of peace.

Hebrews  13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Prior to the coming of our Lord, God the Father has been given the   saints of old peace.

Numbers  6:26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Psalms  29:11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

Isaiah  32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.  32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.  32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Isaiah  54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.  54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.  54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.  54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Isaiah  55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isaiah  57:19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

Jeremiah  33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

However those who benefit from His peace were those who trusted Him and obeyed Him, implicitly.

Isaiah  26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isaiah  48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.  48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Our Lord gave peace to His people through His vicarious sacrifice.

Isaiah  53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Ephesians  2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

Colossians  1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

The peace of Christ, is obtained through faith in Him.

John  16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Peace comes to saints from  the Godhead. our Father in heaven, Jesus Christ our Lord and the blessed Holy Spirit.

God the Father.

Revelation  1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Romans  1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans  15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

1 Corinthians  1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians  1:3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Colossians  3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Jesus Christ our Lord.

John  20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

John  20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.  20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

Romans  5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians  4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

2 Thessalonians  3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Blessed Holy Spirit

Galatians  5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

It is very very unfortunate that sinners inside or outside the church have no peace.

Isaiah  48:22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

Isaiah  57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.  57:21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

The reason for this is because they are carnal.

Romans  8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

To live eternally with God and Jesus Christ our Lord for all eternity, you must be peaceable with others, no matter who they are.

Romans  12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Hebrews  12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

In addition you must be spreading the gospel of peace.

Isaiah  52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Acts  10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Those who reject this gospel of peace, will not know peace here or hereafter.

Luke  19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,  19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.  19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,  19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Romans  3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:  3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.  3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.  3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:  3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:  3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:  3:16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:  3:17 And the way of peace have they not known:  3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Isaiah  48:22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

Isaiah  57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.  57:21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

Beloved take advantage of Christ’s vicarious sacrifice and enjoy His peace that passeth all understanding here and hereafter.

John  14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Let us pray.
