[26]But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

John 14:26

[26]The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.

The blessed Holy Spirit, the third in the Trinity, the mouthpiece of the Godhead and the power house of the Godhead was a great gift from our loving Father in heaven, given to all Bible believing believers of all ages, because of the prayer of Christ for us.

This great gift will abide with us, all Bible believing believers of all ages and that includes you, forever.

John  14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

This blessed Holy Spirit has many ministries for all Bible believing believers including you and me.

[26]But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative— Christ’s representative.

1. You will discover that, He is the 

Comforter ,Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby to provide you and me with present help.

2. In addition, He is also our advocate and the representative of Christ, doing exactly what, Jesus will do for us, if He were here now.

3. Giving us wisdom from above.

Luke  21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogus, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.  21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.  21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:  21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Isaiah  11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

James  3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

4. Spiritual guidance to deliver us from failing into satanic snares.

Also spiritual guidance on what to do at any given time.

John  16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Acts  16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,  16:7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.  16:8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.  16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

5. He gives us power of God.

Acts  1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Romans  15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

6. He sanctifies and makes us Holy like our Father in heaven and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans  1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Romans  15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

7. He quicken us and heal us.

Romans  8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

8. He gives us praying power and teaches us how to pray in accordance to God’s perfect will.

Romans  8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

9. He gives us Gifts of the spirit .

1 Corinthians  12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.  12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.  12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;  12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;  12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:  12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Prophesying , visions and dreams

Acts  2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:  2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Galatians  5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

10. He teaches us. 

John  14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The blessed Holy Spirit is a spiritual teacher, that teaches Bible believing believers the truth about the scriptures.

1 John  2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.  2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

You need to understand what this means.  You needed to be taught.

Ephesians  4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But what is saying here is that, the blessed Holy Spirit will hindered false prophets and false Brethren to deceive you.  He will be Discerning spirit to you..

Acts  5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,  5:2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.  5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?  5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

11. He gives us yoke breaking power.

Isaiah  10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

12. He enables us to achieve things that our natural strength can not achieve.

Zechariah  4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.  4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

It is very very unfortunate that sinners inside or outside the church can not partake in this privileges.

This is because they have not know Him.

John  14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

For them to have access to these privileges, they must be biblically saved and sanctified.

Ezekiel  36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.  36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

The great question is, have you received the Holy Spirit, since you believe?

Acts  19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,  19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

If you have received, pray and begin to enjoy these privileges.

But if not, pray and be biblically saved and sanctified and God shall give you too the blessed Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

Luke  11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
