The proof that you love Jesus.

The proof that you love Jesus.

John  14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Beloved brethren, Jesus revealed this solemn truth, that will simply be the reason why multitude of professing believers will be missing in heaven.

You shall not be missing in Jesus name.

But then for this not to be so, why don’t you sincerely weigh yourself on the balances of God’s eternal, infallible, immutable words in the Bible.

Daniel  5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

Weigh yourself, how do you fair?  Just because you are paying your tithes and sowing seeds, is not a proof that you love Jesus.

That you are song in the choir, ushering, evangelising or doing anything for God, is not an evidence that you love Jesus.

One unequivocal truth that you love Jesus, is that you are keeping His commandments.

Listen to Him again.

John  14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

One thing that distinguished our Lord,  was that, He did what He taught.

Acts  1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Before our Lord exhorted Bible believing believers to keep His commandments, as an evidence that , they loved Him. That was the way, He Himself proved, that, He loved the Father.

John  14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John  15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

And so severally in  the scriptures, professing believers are exhorted to keep the commandments of Christ, as evidence of their love for Him.

Listen.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John  15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.  15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.  15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John  21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.  21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.  21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

2 Corinthians  5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:  5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

1 John  2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.  2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John  5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.  5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Beloved, examine yourself, if you are not keeping the commandments of God, it means you don’t love Him.

John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

2 Corinthians  13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Are you really born again?  Are you a new creature? Is your name in the book of life?

Are you walking on the narrow read? Are you living in daily biblical holiness?

Are you free from worldliness? Have you done your Restitutions?

Kindly weigh yourself on the balances and do the needful, tomorrow might be too late.

Please love Jesus by keeping His commandments and they are not difficult.

John  14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
