Why you must believe God.

Why you must believe in God.

John  14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

You must believe in God, because, He is an unchanging God and not one of the gods or man.

Malachi  3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Because of this satan and his cohorts can never ever consume us.

Lamentations  3:22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  3:24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.  3:25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

He is a faithful God.

Deuteronomy  7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

1 Corinthians  1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

He is the Father and God of our Lord Jesus Christ and ours.

John  20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

He is the almighty God.

Genesis  17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

He is the everlasting God.

Isaiah  40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.  40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

He is the eternal God.

Deuteronomy  33:25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.  33:26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.  33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

He is the I am that I am.

Exodus  3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?  3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

You can trust Him at all times in all things.

Psalms  56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

Psalms  62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Isaiah  26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

You will look up and Him and you will not be ashamed.

Isaiah  45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Psalms  34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

He is unstoppable.

Isaiah  43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.  43:13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

He is our refuge and present help in times of trouble

Psalms  46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.  46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.  46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Isaiah  43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.  43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.  43:3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.  43:4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

He has good thoughts towards you.

Jeremiah  29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

He teacheth His saints to profit and guide the continually.

Isaiah   48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.  48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Isaiah 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.  42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’s servant?  42:20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

He will never ever forget you.

Isaiah  49:14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.  49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.  49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Because of all of these, He will be our God forever.

Psalms  48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Let us pray.
