Beware of the spirit of Judas

Beware of the spirit of Judas.

John  13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.  13:22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.  13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.  13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.  13:25 He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?  13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.  13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.  13:28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.  13:29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.  13:30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

Beloved beware of falling into the undoing of Judas.

The devil is not giving up on anybody.

He assured himself, he got Adam and Eve, he got Achan after he got to the promised land. He got King David, a man after God’s heart to commit adultery.

He is reassuring himself that, he can get you, so be watchful.

1 Corinthians  10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Remember the following:

Romans  15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians  10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

So be watchful.

Mark  13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Luke  21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Matthew  26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Be very vigilant and never expose yourself to anything that, the devil can take advantage of.

1 Peter  5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Don’t be deluded that you can attain a height where you can not fall. Watch and pray.

The devil is not given up on anyone, despite your present spiritual attainments.

He got Judas one of the twelve apostles of Jesus.

Judas.

Matthew  26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,  26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.  26:16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

John  12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.  12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.  12:4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,  12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?  12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

John  17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John  6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?  6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.  6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?  6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.  6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.  6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?  6:71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

Matthew  27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,  27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.  27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

He got Nicholas, one of the seven deacons.

Nicholas

Acts  6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.  6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.  6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:  6:6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

Revelation  2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

Revelation  2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

Balaam.

Revelation  2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

2 Peter  2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:  2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;  2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

Jude  1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Demas.

2 Timothy  4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Colossians  4:14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

Philemon  1:24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.

He will not get you, but you must watch and pray and avoid anything and everything, anyone and everyone who can make you sin against God.

Mark  9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.  9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.  9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:  9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
