The stripes of Christ.

The stripes of Christ,  the never failing balm for believers lifelong healthiness and healings.

Balm, healing ointment.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Thank God, we have a better covenant than people of old.

Hebrews  8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

In the old covenant, sin made them to lack balm for healings and healthiness.

Jeremiah  8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.  8:21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.  8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

But then Jesus Christ came and removed both our sins and it’s consequences.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This balm is for believers dead to sin.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Sinners can not benefit, because they are dead in sin, except they repent.

Ephesians  2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;  2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

They must repent genuinely, for them to benefit from this unfailing balm.

Acts  17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

2 Chronicles  7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Our Lord came to save us from damnable sins and its consequences.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This healings and healthiness have been provided for believers, before Jesus died on the cross.

It is just for you to appropriate for continual healthiness or claim for healings from terminal, incurable or longstanding sicknesses and diseases.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed

Freedom from sins without, biblical salvation and sins, within biblical sanctification, qualifies you to appropriate the promise for lifelong healthiness or claim, if you are sick.

Listen to the unfailing promise again.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed

For proper understanding, listen to the same promise from other versions of the Bible.

Good news

1 Peter 2:24.

[24]Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed.

You have been made healthy or healed before Jesus went to the cross.  His stripes were the injury sustained when he was mercilessly beaten.

Isaiah  53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

NLT.

1 Peter 2:24. NLT

[24]He personally carried our sins

in his body on the cross

so that we can be dead to sin

and live for what is right.

By his wounds

    you are healed.

It is not that you are going to be healed. You have been healed.

AMP

1 Peter 2:24  AMP

[24]He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.

You have been healed, not that, you are going to be healed.

Matthew affirmed that, Jesus Christ actually have taken away all sicknesses and diseases.

Matthew  8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:  8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Jesus Christ through His stripes have taken away all sicknesses and diseases.

Listen again.

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

So to appropriate or claim this promise, you have to believe God.

Mark  9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

When you believe, the promise will be performed.

Luke  1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

If you believe, it will happen instantaneously.

Ezekiel  12:28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

This is because, God is able to do far than your expectations.

Ephesians  3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

So come boldly, if you are a believer already to claim the promise. If you are not, just, repent genuinely.

2 Chronicles  7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Beloved, let us pray that God will forgive all your sins, as sinners or God will purge you with Christ’s blood, for higher service in the kingdom.

Let us pray.

Pray for salvation.

Pray for healings.
