The tireless plot to kill Jesus before the cross.

The tireless plot to kill Jesus before the cross.

John  11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.  11:46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.  11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.  11:48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.  11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,  11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.  11:51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;  11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.  11:53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

Because of these tireless plot of the devil, our Lord spent quality time to pray to God about it.

Hebrews  5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;  5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Listen to some other  tireless plot.

Luke  4:24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.  4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;  4:26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.  4:27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.  4:28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,  4:29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.  4:30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

Mark  3:1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.  3:2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.  3:3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.  3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.  3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.  3:6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

John  8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.  8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.  8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.  8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.  8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.  8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.  8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?  8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.  8:48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?  8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.  8:50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.  8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.  8:52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.  8:53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?  8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:  8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.  8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.  8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?  8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.  8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Don’t ever forget what, he did against Christ, is what is tirelessly doing against you. Be obedient to God and avert all his, schemes, wiles,  devices and ploys.

Ephesians  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

2 Corinthians  2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

John  10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

His tireless goal is to make the person to be lost and damn their souls.

2 Corinthians  4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Thessalonians  2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

satan is your number one enemy or adversary, determined to devour careless people, resist him determinedly at all times.

1 Peter  5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

One unfailing way to overcome him, is your continual obedience to God in all things and at all times.

Proverbs  1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

1 John  5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

The grace of God shall be available for you in particular in Jesus name.

2 Corinthians  9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Let us pray.
