Catching away of the saints. Study 24.

Revelation  4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.  4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God

   Beloved,

Chapter fifteen of the book of Revelation, has a close link with the previous chapter and also a close link with the next chapter.

It  reveals the certainty of God’s fierce judgement, coming upon those that worship the Antichrist and the devil, especially during the great tribulation.

In addition, it unravels the severity of  the full wrath of God upon those that receive the mark of the Antichrist.

But then the wrath of God is not limited to sinners during the great tribulation period.

But in all ages upon everyone and anyone who rejects the counsel of God.

Incidentally, you are not excluded.

You recount what happened during the days of Noah, when the wrath of God, came upon the whole then world and only Noah and his household were saved.

The same goes for the time of Sodom and Gomorah and then, only Lot and his daughters were saved.

The wrath of God obtains in all ages and you need to be determined that , through wholehearted obedience, you shall escape God’s wrath in Jesus name.

Listen to what the Bible says about the reality of the wrath of God in all ages and at all times.

Psalms  2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Psalms 9:17  The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Zephaniah  1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.  1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,  1:16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.  1:17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.  1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Faithful ministers of God from the outset of  the earth, usually warns the people to make effort to avoid the  gruesome wrath of God.

John the Baptist, warned his hearers in his days.Matthew  3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?  3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:  3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.  3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry did same.

John 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

The disciples of our Lord, during the Bible days did so.

Romans  2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,  2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

But  then, there shall be unprecedented  great wrath of God during the great tribulation.

You in particular should make effort to avoid it, by following the Lord , fully now.

God’s grace shall avail for you in Jesus name.

Revelation 15:1  And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Prior to this time, the inhabitants of the earth, during the great tribulation would have experienced this wrath of God.

Revelation  6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;  6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:  6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

But then during the final part of the great tribulation, the full  wrath of God shall be poured upon the unrepentant worldlings in a great dimension.

Listen to how the scriptures describes it in chapter fifteen of the book of Revelation.

Revelation  15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.  15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.  15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.  15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.  15:5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:  15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.  15:7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.  15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Beloved, the first thing you discover in all these verses, are  the seven angels, who are to execute the seven last plagues of the severity of God’s  long awaited righteous Judgement.

Romans  2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;  2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Revelation 15:1  And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Remember don’t ever forget.

Angels are  ministers of mercy to believers, but at the same time, ministers of  judgement of God to sinners.

The Bible in chapter sixteen of the book of Revelation, give details of how the plagues of the seven angels shall be poured.

Listen to them.

The first  angelRevelation  16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.  16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
The second angel

Rev 16: 3And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
The third angel

Revelation  16:4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.  16:5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.  16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

Forth angel

Revelation  16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.  16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Fifth angel

Revelation  16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,  16:11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Sixth angel.

Revelation 16:12  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

Seventh angel.

Revelation  16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.  16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.  16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

You then see the close connection between the two chapters.

Fiery judgement, indignation and wrath comes upon all the unrepentant inhabitants of the earth.

Surprisingly, all of these things were prophesied prior to this time.

Isaiah  13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.  13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.  13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.  13:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.  13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Jeremiah 10:10  But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king:

at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

Romans  1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

The wrath of God shall come upon everyone and anyone in all ages , who holds the truth in unrighteousness.

Romans  2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?  2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?  2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;  2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:  2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:  2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,  2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

Beloved, make conscientious efforts to avoid the gruesome wrath of God, described below.

Revelation  14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,  14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:  14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Even though the wrath of God affects rejecters of Christ today, but it shall get to the climax during the great tribulation.

For you to avoid this wrath, accept the salvation of Jesus wholeheartedly now.

Listen to what the Bible says.Hebrews  2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.  2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;  2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Secondly in the chapter fifteen of the book of Revelation, you shall discover the  song of praise, victory  and worship of triumphant saints.

These  saints through their determined resolve to follow our Lord Jesus Christ, through thick and thin,   escape this fiery wrath, that is being poured upon the earth.

They took advantage of the precious blood of Jesus and were  redeemed.

So they sang song of redemption and victory to the reigning Lamb of God.

Revelation  15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

These triumphant saints sang songs  to the glorious. Lamb. The King of Kings and Lord of lords.

Revelation 17:14  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Revelation 19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Revelation  7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;  7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.  7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,  7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.  7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.  7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.  7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

They also sang the song of Moses.

Remember what happened when God subdued the Egyptians at  the Red Sea.

Exodus  15:1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.  15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.  15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.  15:4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.  15:5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.  15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.  15:7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.  15:8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.  15:9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.  15:10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.  15:11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?  15:12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.  15:13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.  15:14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.  15:15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.  15:16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.  15:17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which thy hands have established.  15:18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.  15:19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

The songs of these triumphant saints admonish believers to fear God.

Revelation 15:4  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

During the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, He taught His followers of all ages and that includes you in particular to fear God.

Luke  12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

The blessed Holy Spirit did same through the disciples in Bible days.

2 Thessalonians  1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;  1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,  1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:  1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;  1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.  1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:  1:12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Beloved, these triumphant saints during the great tribulation had victory over sin.     Today’s believers which must include you too must have victory over sin.

1 John  5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.  5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John  2:13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.  2:14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

You must resist the devil to overcome sin.

1 Peter  5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

In addition you take advantage of the precious blood of Jesus to overcome sin and satan.

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Once you have experienced biblical salvation, your lifetime lifestyle is to overcome sin till Jesus comes.

His grace shall avail for you in particular in Jesus name.

Lastly, you  will discover from the remaining verses of chapter fifteen, the source of the vials of wrath poured upon the unrepentant inhabitants of the earth, during the great tribulation.

Revelation  15:5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:  15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

The angels came out of the temple. This was not the first time, John saw something like this. He had seen it before.

Revelation 11:19  And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The  seven angels that shall execute  the last  fiery judgement shall come from the presence of the Lord, from inside the temple.

The temple was filled with smoke.

What is the meaning of this?

This smoke signifies the glory of God.

Isaiah  6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.  6:2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.  6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.  6:4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

No one could enter the temple again, until the seven angels finished, pouring the vials of wrath of God upon the earth.

What is the meaning of this?

There is no intercession for mercy again. The judgement will come in full force till the end.

Until the final fury shall be poured upon them.

Psalms 75:8  For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red;

it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same:

but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

Jeremiah  25:15 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.  25:16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.  25:17 Then took I the cup at the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:  25:18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;

Beloved, the Bible reveals what can bring the wrath of God to anyone and everyone inside or outside the church.

Please sincerely examine yourself and be sure you are free from these things.

  Listen to them.

Ephesians  5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;  5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.  5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

In addition, listen to what can bring wrath of God to backsliders and those who engages in compromise and secret sin.

Hebrews  10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.  10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:  10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?  10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.  10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Beloved, what are you going to do to avoid the wrath of God and be part of the dawning rapture?

To help you in particular to future among the twenty four elders, apostle John saw in the revelation Jesus showed him?

Repent now of anything you have discovered, as you sincerely examine yourself with the scriptures above.

Know assuredly that the grace of God can help you in particular to be purified from all iniquities and qualifies you for the imminent rapture?

Listen to what the following scripture says and appropriate it.

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.  2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

See you at the top in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
