Fulfilment of God’s purposes.

Fulfilment of God’s purpose.

John 11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Beloved, brethren, God’s purposes for our lives shall be fulfilled in Jesus name.

Isaiah  34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Isaiah  55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Luke  1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

When our Lord was informed about the sickness of Lazarus. He said, it is for the glory of God.

John  11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.  11:2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)  11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.  11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

Now when Lazarus was raised from the dead, that word was fulfilled.

John  11:37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.  11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Always remember that whatever the Lord had spoken shall come to pass in it’s seasons.

Habakkuk  2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Some things were written in the old testament about our Lord, which were fulfilled in it’s timing.

Isaiah  7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew  1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,  1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Deuteronomy  18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.  18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Acts  3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.  3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Zechariah 13:7
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Matthew 26:31
Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad

Matthew  26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Mark  9:31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

Luke  9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

Luke  18:31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.  18:32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:  18:33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

Luke  24:6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,  24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

John  17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.  17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.  17:13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

John  19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.  19:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.  19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.  19:26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!  19:27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.  19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.  19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.  19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.  19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.  19:32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.  19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:  19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.  19:35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.  19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.  19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Acts  13:29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.  13:30 But God raised him from the dead:  13:31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

Our Lord Himself, said things written about Him must be fulfilled.

Luke  24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luke  24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Beloved if things written about Christ were fulfilled to the letter. The totality of God’s plans for your life shall be fulfilled in its season, according to God’s unfailing promises.

Numbers  23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?  23:20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Isaiah  14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

Isaiah  14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.  14:27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Isaiah  43:13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

Isaiah  46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Ezekiel  12:28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

Beloved brethren believe the Lord and patiently wait for the fulfilment of His promises.

Hebrews  6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.  6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,  6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.  6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews  10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.  10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Remember, His promises shall not be prolonged again.

Ezekiel  12:28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

Let us pray.
