Blessings of the poor in the spirit .

Blessings of being spiritually poor in the spirit.Matthew  5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus pronounced blessings on all His followers of all ages who are poor in the spirit  .

Matthew  5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Only them can receive His blessings.

Matthew  11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:  11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Luke  4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Isaiah  66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

2 Chronicles  7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles  33:10 And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.  33:11 Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.  33:12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,  33:13 And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.

Psalms  34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalms  51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Proverbs  16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Proverbs  29:23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Isaiah  57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Micah  6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Luke  6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Luke  18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:  18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.  18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.  18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.  18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

James  4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.  4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Here and hereafter, only the poor in the spirit shall receive the blessings of God.

Matthew  5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

James  2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

Luke  6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Pause brethren, are you poor or proud in the spirit?

Your response should be that you are poor in the spirit.

But if not, please repent now, because here and hereafter, God has no business with the proud in the spirit.

Psalms  138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

James  4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.  4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.  4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.  4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Remember, the poor in the spirit are blessed here and hereafter. You shall be blessed in Jesus name, as you remain poor in the spirit.

Let us pray.
