Disregarding Jesus Christ.

Controversy over the person of Jesus. 

John  10:19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.  10:20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?  10:21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

Beloved Brethren, the world have different opinions about the person of Jesus.

Some believed on Him and some don’t.

There are innumerable blessings derivable in believing in Christ.

Regrettably however, painful and colossal loses are the consequences of not believing in Christ.

Listen to the following scriptures.

Believe in Him.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Everlasting life by believing in Jesus.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Not condemned before God.

John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Everlasting life by believing in Jesus.

John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Passed from eternal death or damnation to life eternal.

John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Never thirst.

John 6:40
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Raised up at the last day.

John 6:47
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Everlasting life by believing in Jesus.

John 7:38
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

John 11:25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Lived forever.

John 12:44
Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

Faith in God.

John 12:46
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Never walk around darkness.

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Do the works of Christ.

Acts 10:43
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Forgiveness of sins.

Romans 9:33
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

1 John 5:1
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Born of God.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Overcometh the world.

1 John 5:10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Witness of the blessed Holy Spirit.

Consequences of not believing.

Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Eternal damnation.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Condemned before God forever.

John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Wrath of God here and hereafter.

1 John 5:10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Made God a liar and will be damned.

But then whatever opinions others may have about Jesus, settle it in your heart, that, He is Christ, the blessed Son of the living God.

John  20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.  20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.  20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.  20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.  20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.  20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:  20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
