Your heavenly Father is interested in both your earthly and eternal well being.

John  10:6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.  10:7 The said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.  10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.  10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Beloved Brethren it is a wrong notion to think serving Christ wholeheartedly will only earn you secured and blissful eternity.

It is true that when you give your life to Christ, your major and primary focus is to give priority to eternal things, which shall guarantee your eternity with Him.

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Listen when you seek ye first His kingdom, every other things that hasten and enables your earthly fulfilment, will also be given.  Listen to this again.

John  10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Simply this scripture is saying, through Christ you can both eternal and earthly wellbeing. Only, He put eternal wellbeing first.

John  12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

John  17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

John  17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Matthew  8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.  8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

Even in the old testament, the emphasis is the same.  God is interested in both your earthly and eternal wellbeing and fulfilment.

Exodus  23:25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.  23:26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

Deuteronomy  11:21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

Psalms  23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalms  91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.  91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.  91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Psalms  121:5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.  121:6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.  121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Proverbs  27:18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.

Isaiah  65:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:  65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.  65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.  65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.  65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.  65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.  65:23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.  65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Listen to what the blessed Holy Spirit said.

1 Corinthians  2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Remember Abraham, Joseph, Samuel,  Queen Esther, Daniel, Peter, Paul, Matthew etc.

So come to Jesus the door, enter through Him and receive eternal life, life eternal and your earthly fulfilment according to His will.
